It looks like not only did it start on 2/8 but someone says they received an email a week earlier telling them it would start on the 8th. That email would be amazing.

Let's hope we get something similar. BC is my top choice if the money's right.ashrice13 wrote:Yeah...I thought so.mrtux45 wrote:Was that in last years thread? Same. And if they were transparent throughout the process I'd be that much more eager to lock intuesdayninja wrote:Let's hope we get something similar. Anyone know a good link/site for checking out apartments in the area? CL maybe? I specifically want to check out Cleveland Circle and Jamaica Plains, as has been recommended on this thread. I know a lot will likely be tied up/not posted until summer time, but I am just trying to get a general feel for housing and CoL things.

I'm sure zillow would be good for looking at rentals. As you mentioned, the picture of the market won't be clear until springtime as landlords have to figure out which apartments are going to be available.
While you may be used to a lower COL, in my experience, getting something for 1k per month (with roommates) is a solid bargain in Boston

CL is your best bet. If you're not local then I'd definitely plan to spend a weekend here checking places out, because Boston apartments have lots of (sometimes nasty) surprises. Brokers are trash, don't trust them. You'll probably have to use one, but don't trust them.lawof11 wrote:Anyone know a good link/site for checking out apartments in the area? CL maybe? I submitted Tuesday night (1/31) and was already under review as of last night (2/1). Good sign? Anyone else go under review quickly? Did that lead to a quick turnaround for ultimate decision? Fingers crossed.

If it is on your acceptance letter, it is completely normal. They hand write letters on the acceptance letter to all admitted students.inevitable510 wrote:Nice handwritten note in the mail today. Is this normal? Trying to gauge if that indicates $$ haha.

I went UR about a week after going complete. I wouldn't read into it much at all tbhwhatever17 wrote:I submitted Tuesday night (1/31) and was already under review as of last night (2/1). Good sign? Going complete doesn't mean much besides they have your materials. Once you go under review is more important, and even then it can take 2-3 weeks for a decision. Good luck!whatever17 wrote:I submitted Tuesday night (1/31) and was already under review as of last night (2/1). Good sign? Anyone else go under review quickly? yup, I skipped "complete" altogether and went straight to "under review" in less than 24 hours. 2 weeks would be amazing!tuesdayninja wrote:Going complete doesn't mean much besides they have your materials. When I log into the status checker, it's just blank. Been like that since I submitted three weeks ago... is there something wrong?..

I was accepted over a week ago and still no letter in the mail? I know the acceptance letter doesn't have scholarship info on it but it would be nice to have. Is it weird that it still hasn't come?MAqee9898 wrote:If it is on your acceptance letter, it is completely normal. Got the mailed acceptance letter with a handwritten note. Was there supposed to be anything else in the big envelope? Mine was open, it just had a smaller envelope with the acceptance letter and a little pamphlet.

LOL my letter was dated Dec 19, envelope postmarked Dec 21, and I got it last week. You should get yours sometime before March hahaStylnator wrote:I was accepted over a week ago and still no letter in the mail? I'm throwing a late app out to BC after getting a disappointing scholarship offer from BU. Above both 75ths. Have people been successful in soliciting fee waivers? Thanks all, and good luck in your cycles.

Absolutely second this. You really have to visit to know what you're getting. Also second the person who said to expect to pay about $1000 with roommates. That about exactly what I paid when I lived in Cleveland Circle, with some utilities included.

Hi all!
Has anyone logged into the Agora Portal after being accepted and looked under "Financial Aid Award Notification"? I know they won't be coming out with decisions for a few weeks on scholarship info. However, from a link on that page, you can see if your account is missing anything.
Under mine - it says it doesn't have a copy of my FAFSA even though I've already completed it. This is probably me just being paranoid but I want to make sure that I'm not the only one. I imagine they just haven't pulled the information from FAFSA yet - which would imply they haven't started scholarship stuff yet... which seems unlikely.
I suppose my ultimate question is - what does everyone else's look like? What does it say under your "Recieved Documents"?
