I got dinged :( I'm rather anxious and upset about it. Cornell wasn't exactly my first choice (I can barely deal with winter in NYC, let alone upstate NY) but it is one of the lower tier 1 schools, which leaves me worried about the outcomes of some of the higher ones.

And you just received a decision today/yesterday? If so and that's the turnaround most people are getting, I probably have at least a month left to wait then :( Did your checker ever change from complete to UR?

Sadly I don't know, because I didn't really keep track of it. Everyone said Cornell didn't give decisions until late December, so I tried to be less OCD and only check the ones that I thought might actually change.

Assuming your profile numbers are accurate, you could have expected it. A 3.4/160 aren't exactly within range of Cornell, URM or not.
My numbers aren't updated.

You should check LSN then, you'd be surprised.

Good luck! Being a splitter makes me anxious. Luckily I'm hardly below the GPA 25th.

What did you guys do for your "Influenced to Apply" and "Interest in Cornell" Sections? Are they just equivalents of a "Why Cornell" essay? I found it sort of weird the "Influenced to Apply" section is mandatory. I wasn't influenced by any individual in particular.

For my interest in Cornell I talked about why I'd like to live in the area and my interest in a specific clinic/specific courses.

And for the influenced to apply section, I just kinda noted that no one in particular influenced me to apply to Cornell specifically and left it at that.

Same for my interest in Cornell & didn't Andy Bernard influence us all to attend Cornell?

How long was your influenced to apply section? I don't want to be at a disadvantage for just writing a sentence or two in the same vein.

1000 words is 2 1/4 pages single spaced..

A regular notebook would have been dope. Though I don't think I could justify using it since I didn't end up going lol.

You were in the threads last year, too, huh? With like a Diddy Kong avatar?

Keilz - I don't think anyone has gotten it yet this year, at least not to my knowledge.
