The only thing that could make this week any better is a JS1. Congrats to everyone who received one!

Is the interview called "JS1" because only Jessica Soban conducts interviews? Or could you be interviewing with another member of the admissions staff?

I'm pretty sure the interview could be with any member of the admissions committee, including Jessica Soban

Congrats to everyone who got a JS1! Does the application status change after you get a JS1/goes under review? Mine just says Application complete.

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive a decision after having an interview?

Nice! How are your softs? My LSAT is also at the 25% so I feel very uncertain about whether or not I'll get a JS1...

Thanks! My softs are pretty average: year and a half out of college, some work experience/internships, an MA, a forthcoming journal article, what I imagine are very solid letters of rec, etc. I was a bit surprised to get a request this early given my relatively low LSAT, but maybe they're casting a wide net.

i know this isn't always the case, but in general, does the timing of your interview correlate with when you're notified? i.e. you'll hear back sooner if you interviewed earlier?

See a few pages back when lovely class of '19ers said, no, it does not really correlate. You may be in for a long wait or you may not.

Good luck y'all!

My interviewer said that in general, it could be a while until applicants hear back. I don't think how early you interviewed plays into how soon you hear back--that's the impression she gave me anyway.

Does the Harvard Status site update once you have your JS1? I had mine today but the "Recent Activities" list on the status page still just lists "Application Completed" as the most recent update. Anyone else?

Got my Js1 and had my interview today, the status checker doesn't update for either

Since I love doing over-analysis of things that I can't change or affect:

Last year, it looks like the likelihood of receiving a JS1 decreased pretty drastically after ~44 days (ref: analytics from last year's thread). So, since it's been 57 days since September 23rd (the first complete of 2016), it would lead one to believe that most of the people on this thread who applied early have fairly low odds of receiving a JS1.

BUT: Last year, the first JS1 came only 27 days after the first complete. This year, it was 42 days. That makes me think that, on average, those of us who applied early still have a fair chance of receiving a JS1.

Thoughts? Again, not that it ultimately matters, but it's fun to talk about

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
