How soon are people getting acceptance letters by mail?

Pretty soon, I think they sent it the day after the acceptance - got here two days later. I am fairly close geographically though

This wait is killing me... UR2 since 9/22 but GPA<25 and 75<LSAT.

Mine came about a week and a half after I was admitted via status checker.

Just had the interview with Chris Colby - really nice guy, I thoroughly enjoyed it and he sang UVA's praises. Questions were the same as the ones already stated in this thread so I won't repeat, but basically know Why UVA and come across as genuine. Seemed simple enough.

I'm not really getting my hopes up of hearing back anytime soon because he noted that I could find out anywhere from today to 3 months from today because it all depends when the final review gets to my file. But it looks like everyone who gets in has to do an interview (I believe they state this on the site as well) so it is what it is, just wish there was a way to know when we'd find out. Unfortunately, our apps seem to go into a black box.

Interviewed yesterday and now have a question. I've seen people on this thread posting that they got in "via status checker." Do they receive an email later, or is it just a status checker update and then a packet in the email over a week later?

I was admitted after my interview over skype, but my status checker updated later that day. I never received an email notifying me. Three days later I got a snail mail acceptance packet.

I never received an official email, but I emailed my interviewer to thank her for her time, and when she replied the next day, she congratulated me on my acceptance. I got a packet in the mail about a week and a half later.

Welp, only a few days away from getting my LSAT score. Then turning in this UVA app, and praying to the heavens.

Guess I'll be refreshing the status checker then--thanks!

In Via Status checker. The status date is 6 October. Which is funny, because I was checking my updates religiously up until the last week, when I pretty much gave up on hearing back anytime soon.

Same, I got an email after the status checker but in response to a thank you email so I don't know if it is necessarily routine

Just got an interview request! At least, I think. Did others' requests come in the form of "we'd like to discuss your application"? No where in the email does it say the word interview--is that consistent with your experiences?

Yeah. Better or worse than the WUSTL t-shirt? I want to know what my $30 is buying me before they take half my salary for a few years.

I'm surprised that any school sends a t shirt. They can't know your size.

They email you and ask if you want one along with what size. I think the diversity outreach person emailed me about them, but I know other accepted students have solicited them. The t-shirt is really low quality, but hey, better than a denial letter for the same price.

I was actually surprised it's way less fratty than I expected and kinda why I ended up liking the campus. Seemed more "normal".

So for reference I went to a small west coast school with an irrelevant Greek life and unimportant sports.

At first it was kind of a lot at first but the longer I was there the more collegial it seemed. It was like, game day so people were wearin their finest sperrys and khakis. But people were really nice and not obnoxiously hammered. Overall came off very friendly and welcoming, not like, in your face rampant alcoholism.
