Out of curiosity, when will those of you who got Waitlisted, be sending a LOCI?

On the Waitlist FAQ, it says since much of our waitlist activity takes place during summer months (May through August), this is the best time to write to us. I'm visiting the school in two weeks just to show my interest and I'll probably write to them either April or May.SupremeLaw wrote:Out of curiosity, when will those of you who got Waitlisted, be sending a LOCI?

Honestly surprised after seeing all these people get waitlisted. This is one of my top choices and most likely will be where I attend. I live in the area so will visit soon. SO HAPPY!
For those interested, I'm in-state, 25% GPA, median LSAT, non-URM

Congrats! When did you submit and go complete? I have similar stats to you, except above median LSAT, URM, but OOS.Lucyfur wrote:Got the call today!Honestly surprised after seeing all these people get waitlisted. Submitted 12/3 but didn't go complete until 1/5 because they were waiting on the December retake.lbh265 wrote:Congrats! When did your app go complete?garbagekitty wrote:Woot woot!! Has UCLA been traditionally more responsive with in-state applicants? I'm an out-of-state splitter who went complete over a month ago, and UCLA is actually one of my top choices.

Me! I'm right at the LSAT 25th and between the 50-75th for GPA. There's hope!sudijajd wrote:Any reverse splitters receive any love yet?? Went complete at the end of October, nothing since. GPA>75th, LSAT>25th

Just curious, does anyone know if being a URM matters for UCLA or Berkeley? I know they can't take race into account for undegrad admissions due to a past state referendum banning affirmative action, but I'm not sure if it applies to graduate programs in CA public universities as well.

Of course, it's a state-wide ban. There's been a ton of research and articles written on the negative effect of this ban on Boalt Hall and UCLA Law, especially.Lucyfur wrote:Just curious, does anyone know if being a URM matters for UCLA or Berkeley?
