Re: Yale c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Last year, they let in ~270 over ~15 release days, so on average they let in 18 per. So each wave likely has anywhere between 15 and 20 admits on average. Of course, that being an average, it could be many more or fewer on any given day.pigzorz wrote:Anyone know how many people are typically accepted in each wave? Curious how many offers will go out this week

Craig called on Saturday! He is a rockstar. So is Asha.... Phenomenal team.
Fingers crossed for everybody waiting to hear
I think most people hear way later (my friend last year got into YLS in March even though he applied in October) so don't let the fact some got in early stress you out.
Fingers crossed for everybody waiting to hear

Not to be a pessimist, but does anyone know how Yale handles giving people rejections or WL news, especially in terms of timing? When do early appliers usually start hearing that they didn't get accepted?

Looks like there was a round of rejections in February and April last year. WL was released in mid-April.linguafranca90 wrote:Not to be a pessimist, but does anyone know how Yale handles giving people rejections or WL news, especially in terms of timing? Interesting that they wait so long. They must know now that some of us who applied in October aren't getting in if we didn't make it on to faculty review...

On a cheerier note, any poll suggestions? Should it be YLS-related or not YLS-related? We're close to hitting 100 votes—here's your chance to have your question stay up for

I just got in! I received an email because I'm overseas.
Stunned that Yale is my second final outcome of the cycle.

Good question! But a version of that was actually our last poll.lunixer wrote:If you get into Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Columbia/Chicago at full scholarship, which would you choose?
Actually, I'd be more interested in Harvard vs Columbia full scholarship, since I'm not getting into Yale and didn't apply to Stanford, but I guess the first is more relevant.
