You should join the army.benwyatt wrote:I really love spreadsheetsslippin_jimmy wrote:I've added a few columns, as well. I wouldn't call them odd tweaks though, so yours sound more interesting.benwyatt wrote: Yeah, I've reduced mine enough that I'm happy enough with where it is to go ahead and pay NYU since it's my #1 choice. Penn, CLS, Vandy, Chicago, Cornell can all wait.
And thank you! I put it together when I was bored at work and wanted a handy way to visually represent my application process. My own version has a few more odd tweaks to it, but I only shared the most pertinent ones in the public version

To my understanding, Texas doesn't send out waivers. You have to send in an application for a fee waiver and can only get one based on need, TFA, or Texas residency. I guess it couldn't hurt to ask for merit-based (the worst they'll say is no), but their website pretty explicitly ignores it.urbanist11 wrote:I am also not planning to wait for a fee waiver from NYU (not expecting one). I will wait for Penn for a while. I'll probably wait a little bit for Vanderbilt and Texas and assess. Have the rest that I want.

FYI, I got an unsolicited one from Texas last year on 10/28.urbanist11 wrote:Yeah I think you're right. Good look. May try and solicit one, but I was just going off of their website. Will keep an eye out.jewkidontheblock wrote:FYI, I got an unsolicited one from Texas last year on 10/28.urbanist11 wrote:

Fingers crossed for this!slippin_jimmy wrote:Bringin' this over for folks who may not have seen
T14-->BigLaw wrote:I was told by my admissions consultant who spoke with the dean of admissions of NYU that their median dropped to 169. It's up to you to change it on the spreadsheet now or wait until the median goes up on NYU's website, but I think the dean of admissions is a more reliable source than a TLSer's friend who attended NYU's orientation and "thinks he knows the median."
I've been less hyped about NYU for the last week for some reason but this changed it.
