Yeah, it's pretty obviously a promotional video. Would you feel better if they debated the employment statistics ad nauseum in their promotional materials like you've been doing up and down this applicant forum? Or, maybe you could invite them over to a "Choosing a Law School" thread where your qualms with the numbers belong.

The two e-mails I've received are the Application Received and CAS Report received. Does anyone know if I should be expecting another before they give a final response?

Is it odd that I haven't gotten that e-mail yet? The last one was sent on 2/05. It says:
Our office received your LSAC CAS Report on 02/05/2015. Below indicates the status of required application components (supplemental information is not tracked).

Resume Received: YES

Personal Statement Received: YES

“Why UCI Law?” Statement Received: YES

Number of Letters of Recommendations Received as of today: 3

I also didn't get a file complete email, so I called them and they were able to tell me that my file is in review. I would assume the same is going on with yours, their system didn't send out the complete email for a bunch of people, I think.

Like all of you, I didn't receive a complete email. I applied late February and was complete 2/25. I just emailed admissions about 15 minutes ago to ask about the application and I just got a reply saying my application was complete and is currently under review. So if you are concerned, they are very quick to get back to you if you email/call them.

You guys were right. I just called them and they told me my file was complete and currently under review even though I never got the e-mail.

Thanks!

Anyone else applying to UCI this late in the cycle? Planning to get my application in end of this week or over the weekend. Hope it doesn't hurt me too terribly when it comes to scholarship money.

I visited last week and I asked about scholarshipa because I just applied a couple of weeks ago, and they said that they don't see them running out of money this cycle.

Has anyone been able to negotiate up their scholarship award? I've been trying to get ahold of them for the past couple of days and haven't received a response.

Sorry to hear that man :/ Do you mind pming me your stats and when you submitted? I'm still waiting on my decision and it's driving me crazy.

Is anyone else here in the running for one of the public services fellowships? There wasn't a sepcial app, they just picked out people from their resumes/regular applications. They keep pushing their decision date back and know they're saying they hope to update me in mid-april :( Aaaaand they have not yet given me my general merit based award money, was told theyd look it that after they make a fellowship decision. Is that normal? Does that mean I'm unlikely to get big $$$ from regular merit scholly?

Anyone else in this situation? I'm stressing out that I wont received my financial package until after most schools have deposits due.

I was in this situation. They took two weeks in getting back to me, but that was earlier in the cycle. Did not get the fellowship, although if I had gotten it, I would have matriculated for sure. I don't think this practice is a good idea. It gets our hopes up for disappointment, they should just hold off on the information..

But I feel your anxiety right now. I was dying for two weeks..

you can pm me for more deets
