So I'm not sure about the validity of this but my supervisor was saying that a lot of admissions teams are WLing more than usual this year because applicant pools have dropped across the board and law schools don't know how many people are going to apply exactly so they're waiting until the last possible minute with decisions... JUST A RUMOR! but still, the thought that the waitlist piles are getting bigger isn't much of a comforting thought..

I can kind of believe that because applications are indeed down, but February LSAT takers were up YOY. However, almost all application deadlines have passed.

Does anyone know how many people are on the WL? I saw previous threads from last year and they said that they put 1,000 people on the WL

I did. Had a very compelling offer from another school they took very seriously. Was increased 2/3s more than my initial offer that was high initially anyway. Waiting to hear back from 1 more school if they will match. Heard W&M doesn't negotiate often so the increase is well received.

I've tried twice so far, the latest being the middle of last week. Shot down both times and told to try again later... So all is not lost I guess.

In, but will most likely withdraw my acceptance.

Got an graduate fellowship (which I understand is actually fairly common for out-of-state-ers), the money is good, and I got a favorable impression at the admitted students' weekend.

Waitlist ughhhhhh. Do you think being in state will mean I get off the waitlist sooner/later/never?

Starting to look like I might be in Williamsburg in the fall... Anyone have any experience living in Williamsburg? How tourist-y is it? I'm not a huge drinker, so that isn't a huge issue, but aside from that what is the fun factor like in the 'Burg?

Also... Is anyone potentially looking for a roommate? I have a German shepherd, he's just now about six months. I'd like to find someone with a bigger dog ideally. It would take a lot of guilt off me in terms of being busy with school and such.

Thanks!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
