How long does it take Stanford to review applications after they have been submitted? My status on the tracker says, "Your file has been submitted for review." I don't know if Stanford words things differently (other schools tell me it's complete), but this means that they are now going through the decision process, yes? (This is my first cycle ever haha)

On the contrary, I predict a nice long weekend for the admit team. The only decision they are making now is strawberry or lime margurita? (I'm clearly joking)pylon wrote:Both

If the above theory is too far fetched, I'd like to propose the alternative that - as we know time moves slower as gravity increases - the admissions office as been sucked into a gravity hole. Time is moving much slower from our perspective of them.

It's not possible for SLS to release decisions today. It's necessary.LetsGoMets wrote:DON'T LET ME LEAVE, MURPHBillsFan9907 wrote:If the above theory is too far fetched, I'd like to propose the alternative that - as we know time moves slower as gravity increases - the admissions office as been sucked into a gravity hole. You know, I'd be ok being rejected by a Matthew McConaughey adcom. It'd take the sting out of it.LetsGoMets wrote:DON'T LET ME LEAVE, MURPHBillsFan9907 wrote:If the above theory is too far fetched, I'd like to propose the alternative that - as we know time moves slower as gravity increases - the admissions office as been sucked into a gravity hole. Confession: haven't seen True Detective. So Interstellar, esp. with all this talk of SLS being trapped in a gravity hole. With Hans Zimmer playing all the while.BillsFan9907 wrote:Which one thoigh? True Dectective MM? Interstellar MM?
Alternatively: an adcom entirely composed of different Matthew McConaugheys. Wolf of Wall St., Interstellar, True Detective, Lincoln commercials... all of 'em. For... well-rounded admissions.

Epic. Imagine receiving a call from SLS with this in the background?middlebear wrote:With Hans Zimmer playing all the while.

OMG forgot about WW MM. Amazing character. Watched that scene 70 times. I am totally open to the possibility that the adcoms are composed of different MMs. Definitely could be some quantum mechanical multidimensional situation.middlebear wrote:Confession: haven't seen True Detective. Whoops, and sorry for turning the SLS thread into a MM/movie discussion.

Must admit the Lincoln commercials are the only ones I don't FF past. Well.....those and the cable ones where the whole family are puppets on strings except the dad. The little boy spins in the ceiling fan is hilarious. Forgot what the commercial is for. Something about being wireles.middlebear wrote:Confession: haven't seen True Detective. I just got a solicitation email from "Samford University." I almost fell out of my chair before I read it more carefully.
