I super half-assed mine, though I haven't heard back yet (I only submitted it on Tuesday) so I'll let you all know what happens to verify this.Rt887 wrote:Obviously I didn't write that i'm not interested, I would have been better off not submitting anything at all...
I sounded eager and made it seem like they fit all my priorities in choosing a school, its just that I did not put too much effort into it, and I think it showed. Just don't half ass it if you actually want to go is my point

I feel that the "Why Texas?" seems to be a thing for OOS kids that they want to take. If you put in the effort, most will get in if it isn't just 100% completely shit.alex.cm wrote:Not THAT bad of an idea, given that I got in about 2 hours later.WokeUpInACar wrote:Lol probably not a good idea to post that.

+1 I'm curious about this too. Also, are y'all sending these spontaneously, or because UT requested it?Austinbound wrote:To everyone who wrote "Why Texas"..... how long did you make it??

I had one ready to go, and it was about 3/4 of a page. My intention was to hold onto it in case I was moved from ED into RD, or directly to the wait list.

Re: Texas c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I emailed and asked if I could send them one because there isn't a spot to upload one on the actual app. They gave me the okay and an email addresss to send it to. I would do the same thing if I were you. It will probably be the same process.FlyingNorth wrote:+1 I'm curious about this too.
