I received a call from the dean tonight. I do not regularly post on these forums out of an irrational fear of being "outed."

It was the best phone call I've received since...hell I don't know when.

If you want stats, pm me. I'm weird about risking any retribution on these forums.

I will say I used to be around these parts under a username that likely revealed my personal info, but I have a lot to thank TLS for since you all pushed me to retake last year.

180 4.0+ shouldn't panic, especially when SLS doesn't seem to give boosts to early apps.

I got the same skepticism when I reported the first js1 for Harvard this year. Was later verified by others. So either I'm being honest or I'm a troll with very lucky timing.

Paranoid about outing myself, sorry. I mostly use these boards to research when I should start hearing from places (i.e. to realize UVA doesn't love me.)

But seriously, if I was admitted to Stanford by getting a call when I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT EXPECT IT FOR MONTHS I would like go into shock. Now we all know it's possible. But to be taken by surprise like that... must be the absolute best feeling ever.
