I missed this! Would totally have bought that dark gray sweatshirt. So soft.

They really did a great job; I'm feeling the Harvard pride.

I think it was 15. They didn't even check my coupon, though. If they don't already recognize you at the coop, just say you're an admit at the April event and it should work.

I have no idea and doubt anyone else here does either, but I love the question. Having a rough go of it?

Definitely in the same boat. I just tell myself to not fail. At this point, one B+ won't do much to your overall GPA, anyway.

I know in the current students answering questions thread, one of the students (acrossthelake IIRC) stated she had a lower GPA in the last semester (how much lower?) but didn't hear anything about it.

Also, couldn't find anything about the acceptance being contingent on satisfactory grades, which I had read other schools did.

My acceptance letter said something to the effect of "We expect you to maintain the same level of academic excellence that got you here," so I don't doubt that they would take back an offer if somebody totally failed every class they took this semester. I would not worry at all about a B here and there, barring evidence to the contrary.

I've been worse than ever this semester about my procrastination and getting better grades than ever. I'm telling myself it's practice preparing for arbitrary exam grades :|

I would think you have a good cushion before they're going to think about rescinding an offer after you've paid your deposit and possibly arranged housing and whatnot.

The gpa floors for HYS tend to be around 3.3/3.4. As long as you are at that level or above, you should be fine.... (Of course, don't fail anything)

Subbed end of Feb and the email actually came on Monday while I was at ASW. Unfortunately my HLS email thought the email from HLS was spam, so I didn't see it until today. (downside to forwarding)

I actually got some decent money too. It just costs So... Much... More...

This. Also, I saved enough from working in high school and going to a free UG to cover my cost of living for three years. It'll be tough to watch my life savings flutter away so quickly, though.

On the bright side, I did find out this week that my grandpa had been slowly buying education bonds for me since I was born, so that was a nice way to learn that my first year will be largely covered. 2L and 3L will be all student loan debt, though.

Yeah, man. It's way too expensive; it's almost like paying another tuition.

The wait for a JS2 > wait for a JS1 > wait for finaid

I still think all 3 are rough though.

For me it's js2 > financial aid >>> JS1

Srs? The JS1 was the worst wait for me... not knowing if they were gonna hate my app or consider accepting my average numbers into their glorified halls of legal education

For me, pre-JS1 period is one in which you really don't know whether you will be offered a spot. With such uncertainty, I didn't really care what happened. Once I got a js1, the offer was within sight, and so the stakes were higher, making me much more invested into the process. Once that happened, anxieties rose. Now I'm anxious because I don't want HLS/SLS to be prohibitively expensive and there's a chance that both will be.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
