Re: WUSTL c/o 2016
Just offered an interview via email. No movement since 9/25, but I'm applying JD/PhD, so that might have something to do with it.
Has anyone done an interview without being admitted eventually?

Nice! I dunno if everyone who's interviewed has been admitted, but I don't think anyone has been rejected after an interview so far

I got an invitation to have an interview this afternoon also via e-mail. Will contact them tomorrow to set it up and hope it goes well.

Looks like all the 165s are getting the interview invite. I am excited to speak with them and will also be calling tomorrow to schedule. Has anyone done a Skype interview yet? I figure I might as well request that since it's not every day you get the chance to hone interview skills via Skype. Super excited about the interview invite, best of luck to others contacted!

I just had my interview, and it was very informative and pleasant. It ended with Ms. Orr telling me that there had been no decision made on my application, but the interview will be a huge help to them making a decision in the coming weeks.
I'm guessing that they are looking for the more qualitative aspects of borderline students like myself. That being said, I feel great about my interview and I'm hoping for some good news soon!

December LSAT scores came out 2 days ago. I'm sure WUSTL and other schools will start making more decisions once they see the LSAT range of the incoming apps. Good news will be coming soon! I don't think WUSTL would have invited you to interview if they weren't interesteda2blifeUIUC wrote:I just had my interview, and it was very informative and pleasant. My thinking exactly. December scores are out and they can't afford to wait around for February, so I would expect all sorts of things to happen soon.cusenation wrote:December LSAT scores came out 2 days ago. I think the fact that they offered you admission less than 2 hours after your interview should reinforce the theory that an interview invite means that-- at the very least-- they like what they see in your application.
Actually screw it. Now is not the time for cautious conjecture. If you get interview invite, you're in.

I mostly agree. The only thing I would say is an interview means you are in unless you say something off putting during the interview.cusenation wrote:timeandspace11 wrote:Congrats!!a2blifeUIUC wrote:Scratch that. All that to say, this thread has been one of the most lively and supportive during this process. Thanks to everyone, and best of luck to those waiting.

Agreed. I also think it's a unique method of YP. If you show that you're interested enough in their school to schedule the interview in the first place, I think you're in. If you get the email and ignore it, maybe you're more likely to get WL'd or something. Haven't seen whether anyone who got the invite and ignored it still got an acceptance letter soon after, though.a2blifeUIUC wrote: I mostly agree. App. submitted 11/26. Went complete 12/19 and updated again today 01/04. How many updates should I expect before a decision/interview offer?

Re: WUSTL c/o 2016
I scheduled an interview for Monday with Krystal Orr. I'm excited to have this chance and I'd like to think I'm a pretty solid interviewer, but when I interview for something I really want, I can get flustered like someone with the winning hand in poker. I really, really want WUSL, so I'll look to break that habit on Monday. I'll check back in after if there's anything worth sharing, but thanks for those who have posted their experiences thus far.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
