Congrats to the new admits!
Has anyone here decided for sure that they are attending?
I am about 90% sure I will be attending.
What about you CO2016YEAH?
If so, what are you planning to do for living arrangements? There seem to be some well-priced studios near the school, however, Im not sure if they will still be there at those prices come July/August.
Btw, watching south park right now, love the avatar lol

Lol. Thank you. The avatar summarizes my sentiments about this whole process, i.e. "coooooome ooooooooooon...cooooooooome oooooooooooon...coooooooooome oooooooooooon."Scootz wrote:Congrats to the new admits!

I am also approximately 90% sure I'll be attending. Failing an admit to USC with a few bucks or a full ride/full ride+stipend to Pepperdine or USD it looks like Loyola will be a go. But I don't particularly anticipate those other outcomes.
Not too sure about living situation yet. I'm considering Glendale or Pasadena (or some other area near but outside of the core). I've also thought about K-Town or somewhere downtown, but I have a child so I want to be away from the riff-raff.

It's very very likely for me unless Pepperdine makes me an offer I can't refuse. I think I prefer most of what Loyola has to offer, but the commute to Pepperdine would be a lot simpler.CO2016YEAH wrote:Congrats to the new admits!

studios downtown can keep you away from the riff raff (if you get one with a security guard), but are otherwise super nice. los feliz and culver city are better areas if you are trying to live cheaper, but you'll have to commute, from 15-30 minutes each way, depending on trafficCO2016YEAH wrote:Lol. I'm 95% going. It's the best offer I have so far, and I really like the school. My NY schools are the only thing holding me back from taking the Loyola offer right now.CO2016YEAH wrote:Congrats to the new admits!

Thanks! I was surprised too. It was for the PI Scholars program. Maybe that's why.Dmini7 wrote:o_o I thought stipends only came with full rides? Congrats though, I guess your phone interview ended up being good newsyupyup wrote:Got my packet in the mail today! In with 90k plus stipend!![]()

I believe a week or so prior to complete date. Kind of frustrating that I've been complete at USC since 12/5 and stuff like this happens at other schools...shawn1234 wrote:wow. talk about quick. when did you submit your app?WisemanAEKDB wrote:Complete 2/9. Decision mailed 2/11. wut.

Sorta. I'll update the thread when I find out what's happening etc. It's not been amazing yet, but at least they are willing to talk.bluegreen wrote:anyone have success negotiating a scholarship?

Would you elaborate please. What was your initial scholarship? and what do you mean by willing to talk? Are they going to re-evaluate the amount in the upcoming month?dproduct wrote:Sorta. I assume it would be hard, if not impossible to get it increased from 96k :/. I was under the impression the only scholarship higher was a full ride..

I can't elaborate because I honestly don't know. All I can say is that they said they don't scholarship match as a policy, but they do alter scholarships throughout the process (allegedly). Obviously if I am successful or rejected outright, I'll let you know.Dmini7 wrote:Would you elaborate please. What was your initial scholarship? and what do you mean by willing to talk? I was offered 90k initially.
