Did that with my WL on Monday and I'm back to complete...
do they allow you to be reconsidered for another start time after a decision was made? i thought you could only apply once to a start time/cycle (e.g. january, may, fall)
Well it's not that they moved me to the fall start WL (although I tried to argue my way to it

) but rather that I'm at the back of the line right now for fall.

Congrats guys! Housing in NYC is complete H*LL! I recommend the Alabama if you don't have connections here/potential roommates and want to live next to school. It's really expensive for what you get but it's convenient. If you want to do the Cragislist thing, expect apartments to be more competitive than law school and start looking early. Unfortunately, brokers only start listings a month before move-in so that's annoying. The best thing you can do is get on board with 3 other people and look for a place with a broker and split the fee OR get in touch with a management company. This ensures less competition and no broker fee. Apartments can go within hours on Craigslist and there are many sketchy postings. It's great for subletting or if you have time to run around like a crazy person.
I recommend moving in a month or two early as the Sept. 1 rentals get really competitive. Don't forget to look in Brooklyn! Bushwick/Ridgewood/Park Slop apartments are an easy commute to school (25 min) and are pretty cheap and nice. Good luck! Message me if you need any other info.

I really wish I could. It would be so much money though. Does anyone know how they assist with travel expenses? Would they cover my airfare and ground transportation?

They do. Up to $400 if you're 500+ miles away.
I've got an exam that day so I'm going to the DC event

Great news!
I guess I'll email them tomorrow about how that whole process works. I'm dying to see the campus (building) and the surrounding area.

I applied on 1/28 and was waitlisted 2/12. In my email I had the option to stay on the waitlist and submit for may. Has anyone else done this? Has anyone heard back? Any idea when they will start admitting people for may if they havent already? I heard back so quickly the first time! Why is it taking so long to hear back re: may?!

All I can say is be patient. I've been waiting 20 weeks on all my apps and heard nothing until my first acceptance last week.
It'll come when it'll come (hopefully we'll both hear back this week

)

Did anyone accept the waitlist position for the fall start and also apply for the May program as an option? My status checker states "Decision rendered" on 02/21, however, that was the day I received the email notifying me of the waitlist. Did anyone's status change back to complete after applying for both the May program and accepting the waitlist position for the Fall?
Thanks.

I did the same thing. on fall wait list and applied for may. my wait list email came on 2/12 and it still says decision rendered and sent with 12/12 as the date. I called and asked admissions and they said it would stay that way until my may review is finished and a decision has been issued.

Great, thank you! I was beginning to think admissions forgot about me
That is unfortunate though because we wont even know when they are reviewing our applications.... sigh*

I know the feeling! Week 20 of waiting for a response.
I really wanna go here, especially now that they are now the #1 IP school in NYC and I'm patent law.

Don't put much weight into the whole "Specialization" thing.

Perhaps it's useless if your intent is big law.
The #1 ranked IP school in NY has more appeal to me as someone wants to do patent law, than it does for you.
Specialization shouldn't have all the weight in a person's decision, however it is uncalled for to call it useless merely because it is useless to you.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
