Guys, stop obsessively checking your statuses and go do something useful with your time. The email will come eventually and checking your statuses over and over and over again won't make it come any faster.

You sure? I heard that the more you check your status, the faster the decision comes. I heard the person who checks it the most times gets a full ride.

So I just got a big, happy packet from Cornell today that makes reference to my numbers and encourages me to apply. But it says nothing explicit about a fee waiver. Should I be looking for another piece of mail? Does Cornell do hidden waivers? Did anyone else get a packet without a waiver?

It's probably already linked to your account so you don't need a code or anything. Just try to submit the application, it's probably already applied.

1. Is it worth speculating about a process we don't know anything about? They already went against what they did last year in terms of timing of acceptances, how can we possibly know what they are going to do?

2. Is there any difference between being accepted now and being accepted two months from now?

People deal with stress differently. Is speculation on TLS going to make any difference? No. Does it help distract some people from the torture of waiting? You bet.
