That is some great news Zork! I had seen your profile and was wondering when you had applied. Actually the Feb LSAT hasn't happened yet (it's tomorrow). I've been PT-ing at a better level for the most part. The most recent tests have gone between 161-165 though for some reason I only got a 158 on the October 2011 test (hard games and rc I think kind of threw me). I'm feeling pretty confident about tomorrow though outside of that one score as these scores have all been from tests in the 50's and 60's. And yes, as far as my softs and other things, I feel like I'm putting together a pretty good app. I was waitlisted at Minnesota and George Mason (full or part-time) so everything seems to be solid and I really played up the solid PI experience.

I would really love American as well

Can I ask, did you apply PT or did they put you in PT?

I specifically applied PT. I work and live in Baltimore as a civil litigation paralegal. I also interned for a Maryland congressman for a full year, so I had some softs specific to AU.

Can someone please explain to me how I a got waitlisted at American?

3.62 / 166 - well above both 75th percent tiles...

Great personal and great softs....

Yield protection. I think American is a pretty big offender in this regard.

Well you certiantly can't improve if your afraid of rejection... That's all I got to say to that....

Admitted 1/30, sorry I'm late to the party. 162/2.7 non-URM, one of my letters of recommendation from an alumnus of the law program. No scholly.

Gonna keep it open for now, figure AU is a good card to keep in my hand.

Anyone know the admissions index for American and how to predict what your's is? I saw it mentioned somewhere in an old thing about American admissions but wasn't sure if it was still used.

Still waiting...over two months now. GPA is on the median, LSATs are low for PT but I guess I'll take it as a positive that I wasn't wait-listed or rejected with this last wave. Maybe they'll see me as a good yield guy who will likely attend/pay more tuition if accepted because the profiles of the people who aren't getting in this cycle seems a bit absurd for AU.

Got accepted 2 or 3 weeks ago... 160/3.6. I went there for undergrad and loved it, so it's near the top of my list as I was for more notifications!

Waitlisted! Not to sound like a total dickhead, but I actually laughed out loud when the email came. I'm above both of their 75% percentiles (3.6/166), so this was my first surprise of the cycle. Luckily for me American was not one of my choices and I have already been accepted to much better ranked schools with scholarship $$, so I will be withdrawing today. Good luck to all of you still waiting!

gosh i'm still waiting to hear back. Sent my apps in December, complete as of 1/04. Status updated 2 times, latest 1/30. No response:( Applying PT. I'm fully employed, have an MPH in Health Policy and Law from GW, a URM, and super interested in AU law. My stats are around the median for gpa, and slightly below for LSAT.
