Never thought I even had a chance. And the 149 was a 10pt jump from 1st lsat plus I had a huge medical emergency around test time. I'm glad they showed mercy on me.
If you dont mind me asking, how long were you complete? Im just trying to gauge how long American is taking to process apps.
Also, did you go complete twice (as in on two different dates)?

Not to burst your bubble but I think it was a soft-rejection.

yes I will be doing an LOCI. Also my cousin's wife is a professor there and a good friend of mine knows the Assistant Dean of Admissions there. I'm really about to pull out everything I can to get admitted. I would take the LSAT again but it's too late to register now and I didn't want to retake if I automatically was rejected.

Went complete a few times, actually. Sent it in 10/31, went complete once on 11/1, again in December, then under review 12/10.

Oh there is an "under review" stage? I thought it went straight from "complete" to when they made a decision.

IIRC there's no status for UR for American. I could be wrong, but I thought people went complete and then received a decision.

Went complete twice I think. Everything was complete the first time 1/11/11.
And URMdan a reject is a reject. I have great softs. The only thing that was killing me was the LSAT. But I applied to PT...I've done international travel as part of POTUS advance team...worked with Department of State for about 7 years now, currently in Intel for Human Trafficking...I'm URM...worked as Researcher for speechwriters of Condi Rice...worked fulltime while attending undergrad fulltime...first in family to attend college...etc...

Wow cool stuff. I'm no hater, I got into FT with only a 153 and 2.95, so I know it's possible to get into American with less than stellar numbers if you can sell yourself.

You are at their LSAT median and above the 75th percentile for their GPA. I'd say you definitely have a chance.

I was admitted on 1/21, they received my app. on 1/03 and I went complete on 1/11, I don't think there is a specific amount of time the admissions office is taking on apps. at least it doesn't look that way from what people are saying on here to me.
Congrats to everyone that was already admitted and best of luck to everyone on the WL, or that is still waiting!

Wait listed today. I am below their median LSAT and way above their median GPA. Sent a LOCI this afternoon right after I got the WL e-mail. I said I am interested in the full time and part time programs. However, I really want into the full time program. Good luck, friends!
