Barbie have you heard from UNC at all?

Not a peep. Not looking good for me

Hopefully more people will hear soon. On the tour I took, the guide said they didn't hear until late/mid February.

So there is still hope. Not that many acceptances have gone out yet, at least that is what it looks like on LSN.

I feel very lucky to have gotten my acceptance so fast. Overall though, I think they are moving very slow this cycle.

Oh and looking at this acceptance letter, Dean States has a mean signature.

Is there going to be a packet? I think the "packet" will be in the form of the online admitted students site which they are preparing to launch soon according to the letter. I could be wrong though. But it seems they are trying to be more "paperless" as scholarships are also being awarded through email.

Thanks again M_M, where are you finding these numbers? Not questioning them, just want to know if there is an easier place to find them than looking on individual school websites.

I have an admissions packet from UNC with their numbers sitting next to me on my desk and W&M's I got from their website.

Moral, did you get a packet with your acceptance?



EDIT: Wow, RC Fail on my part. He said admissions packet, either way, I actually never got a viewbook, I would like one, although I am already accepted.

You just visited on your own and stopped by admissions to get a packet? I might do this because my gf is starting to look for jobs in NC.

I have that same packet. It comes in a nice glossy white folder. Has some useful information.

Definitely go visit. I wish I could have seen more of the campus.

Also, does anyone know how to go about finding a roommate? Are they going to have a forum on the admitted students site or something?

I predict more decisions will go out this week.

Also someone said people generally found roommates last year through the Class of 201X Facebook group.

Folks who are still waiting on a decision, have any of you gone 'In Review' on the status checker this week or last? I'm hoping the above prediction is correct, but it may be that they're handling scholarship stuff this week and not getting any more acceptances out.

When someone notices a UNC Law Class of 2014 Facebook group, post the link on this thread. I am not sure if my gf is moving down with me or not. But if she doesn't, I am going to need to find roommates.

It's going to hit 74 this weekend. In FEBRUARY. Just sayin'.

Oh, and there's like a 10 degree differential between here and Durham, likely owing to the raging pit of flame and shadow that is the Balrog Duke University.

Hey guys! UNC 2L here, I know that y'all want information about housing and roommates and orientation, etc, but there will be a Class of 2014 facebook group made in June for admitted (and deposited) students. This group is made by Carolina Law Ambassadors- the students that gave your tours if you came to visit campus- and it'll be a place where you can post questions for older students, find roommates amongst yourselves, and get information about summer 1L events that go on during the summer. It'll get confusing to have an official and non-official group, so I wouldn't recommend making your own.

I remember how it was, constantly checking craigslist to look at housing and scouring the UNC website for nuggets of what life will be like, so feel free to post your questions here about the town, the school, what you should be doing this summer, whatever, and I'll try to answer them!
