did you happen to receive an accidental acceptance email a while back? I wonder how they will handle that (one of the worst day of my life..happy then taken away in 2.5 seconds!). At this point, if I'm still in review I would be happy. I just don't want a denied or wait-list.

If you want to know ur status, i'd recommend calling. She was so nice about telling me what was going on... they might not be ableto say yay or nay over the phone, but they'll prob tell you if a decision has been mailed or not

Same here. Makes me somewhat bitter considering I was one who received the premature acceptance email months ago. They can take their 162 median LSAT and 3.53 median GPA and shove it up their shallow fucking ass.jsimp wrote:Dinged today

I'm 99% sure I'm going to Richmond. They've been the absolute best law school to deal with during the admissions process. This week, their admissions director flew down to Atlanta just to take 2 admitted students out to dinner with a local Richmond alum. I have been absolutely wowed by how open and candid they have been answering all of my questions. In terms of the recruitment process and their sales pitch, they've been awesome.

They have no status checker, they sent out acceptances to students who weren't accepted yet, and they have taken forever to make decisions.
I'm not trying to put out your fire, because that's great that you are excited about where you'll be going to law school, but saying Richmond has been the best school to deal with during the admissions process is madness, at least based off of my experience.

Re: In at Richmond - 2014
To the ppl who recently received rejections- did anyone get a fee waiver?
I haven't checked my mail and I'm trying to figure out if I want to check bc it could be a wait list or not check bc it could be a straight out rejection.
I received a fee waiver in July, got an accidental acceptance after submitting app in October. I'm assuming that there will be minimal acceptances (if any at all) since the accepted student day is on 4/8.
Also- good luck with your other schools. Rejection is so tough.

Check out LSN, the rejections (according to the results there this year and last) are far below median. I don't know about the people posting here, because none of them have their numbers in their profile. . . .but LSN will give you a good idea based on your numbers. If you were close to the medians, it will be a WL or admit.4turesquire wrote:To the ppl who recently received rejections- did anyone get a fee waiver?

I have to echo this. I applied to 25+ schools and UR has been by far the worst at dealing with. Huge amount of worthless marketing mail, no status checker, the fake out with the acceptance e-mail, the mailings that look like acceptance packets, etc. and, to top it all off, I still have not heard back from them and I applied in December.Bless wrote:HUH?Kainmacbeth wrote:I'm 99% sure I'm going to Richmond. Not necessarily true. I'm far above the LSAT median and I think I'm only .1 below the gpa median and I was dinged yesterday as well. I'm calling bullshit though. It was blatant yp.crysmissmichelle wrote:Check out LSN, the rejections (according to the results there this year and last) are far below median. Re: In at Richmond - 2014
Just a head's up to JMS alternates: They've begun redistributing offers. Got my call today and have until April 1st to decide.
Anyone know if they're doing JMS for sure? I'm really torn between Richmond with the JMS (living at home with no room and board expenses) and William and Mary with 16k a year. I feel totally lost and would appreciate any advice or insight...
