Well, all 6 were admitted on the same day, it wasn't from individuals dropping out, it was more about rounding out the class.

I guess I have misconceptions about what the waitlist even IS, and how folks are chosen to be on the waitlist in the first place. Fascinating. Whenever one questions gets answered it leads right into more, I guess that's the nature of the beast when dealing with something as complex as this. Thanks a lot for your answers though!

I was on the wait list last year and it was a very stressful experience but it was made much easier by Pless's frequent and transparent updates by email. Best of luck to all those on the wait list (or still waiting for a decision) hopefully there will be closer to 47 (rather than 6) students admitted from the list this year

It was nice, thanks... but I think you gave a few hundred people a collective heart attack with the "JOIN THE CLASS OF 2014 FACEBOOK PAGE!" part.

Yeah, that was my fault. The email was set to go out just to admitted students and I said "Hey, wouldn't it be nice to send it to everyone?" and the email didn't get changed before it went out. Sorry.

Transparency includes admitting mistakes. My bad.

Dean Pless: am I still banned from saying nice things? If so, well, its Tuesday so that's not fair...and furthermore, I really appreciated the card, even though it made me a little too excited.

Law school is three years and how you feel on day 1 may be different than on day 802 and I want our students to be as excited about Illinois on day 802 as they are on day 1.

This is so true. Illinois was not my first choice, and I wasn't thrilled about living in Champaign, but now I love it...well, except finals. I don't love finals at all.

Only one more to go Nancy.

She said she is the Cinderella of TLS on her profile, and hence the slipper comments, because I said I wanted to be this year's TLS Cinderella.

Someone at work yesterday said something about "Donkey" who I guess is a character from Shrek, which I know is produced by Dreamworks and not Disney...but it shows how oblivious I am......since I didn't have a clue who "Donkey" was.
