Re: LSU 2010
Ask them again about getting in state tuition after the first year. I have heard this is unlikely but I'd like someone to ask again since I won't be there. I will also ask this question on the 10th of April. If I could get that LSU would come alot closer to clinching me as a student, as it is I currently in a pool with my own state school and Arkansas which I can go to for quite a bit less money.

Be from Louisiana. They have a record low number of instate applicants this year. So they will receive preferential waitlist treatment.

I'm from a place in Texas that is literally 15 minutes from Louisiana.
I'm wondering if I should call them and ask them about some kind of special "but I can throw a rock and hit your state" residency exemption.

Edit: Why I am I being forced to misspell LS? To trick search engines maybe?

Sent in my first deposit yesterday. Still waiting to hear back from one other school though. Decent chance I'll be in Baton Rouge next fall.

I am interested to see if the TLS memebers here are as socially akward as many believe most TLSers are. The cocktail party should be interesting.

I thought I read "business to dressy casual" somewhere, but I may be thinking of something else. I figured I couldn't go wrong with a shirt and tie though.
Edit: Found what I was thinking of... "business to dressy casual" was the dress for the LSU accepted students reception in NOLA, according to macatak.

hey ChattTNdt, are you planning on going to the cocktail reception at LSU? I'm from chattanooga too, so it would be pretty cool to have someone from the same city there, haha

I really wish the postman would go back to delivering to my house early in the morning. This waiting all day for a scholarship letter is getting annoying.

Seriously....every other school accompanies the scholarship with the acceptance letter....I don't understand why LSU doesn't...LA Beserker wrote:Another day with nothing from a post man i hope they give us a real answer tonight about scholarships instead of just next week.macatak911 wrote:I really wish the postman would go back to delivering to my house early in the morning. I wont be able to attend the Faculty Webchat tonight due to work commitments. Could someone please copy a manuscript for me?

I just got off the phone with Daphne from admissions and they are going to wave my non-resident fee, which would save me about $12,000 a year in tuition. Not a bad deal taking into consideration that I don't have to pay for housing now.

Nope, she told me to call her yesterday to see what the deal was with the scholarship board because it was a selling point for me when I visited the campus last month. I needed to hear something from them before I mailed in my seat deposit.nick637 wrote:Was this unsolicited?Publius39 wrote:I just got off the phone with Daphne from admissions and they are going to wave my non-resident fee, which would save me about $12,000 a year in tuition.
