First time poster here but longtime lurker. You guys are the only thing keeping me sane through this hellish wait. <3 Just wondering if anyone has sent in an LOCI/Why NYU after going complete and then been accepted? UR since 1/2 and getting desperate.

NYU Law: Late Waiters, 2020
I made a google doc which I know few of you will want to fill out right now but I think it could be a fun way of mitigating the crippling anxiety responsible for our collective imminent demise. It's also a gift to those of us who have waited longer than our peers for decisions.
This is specifically for people who applied in 2016 and are still waiting as of today, March 15th. It is also for people who applied in 2016 and heard back recently with a decision. If that doesn't make sense, let me clarify even more - if you applied in January or February and heard back already, don't add your data to this sheet. (I swear, I'm nice - but look both ways before you cross me). This is for people like me (first user in the sheet) and a friend of mine who applied in late october and was accepted only a few weeks ago.
The sheet should be helpful for future cycles, so I'll request that the creator of this thread pin it to the first page. I know how much it sucked waiting this cycle, but I know that for many, the wait ended with good news. Those who come after us will derive some hope and will get more realistic about their expectations. Also, I kept the LSAT/GPA stuff vague on purpose. If you enter your LSAT and GPA, that's on you sis.
THANK YOU GUYS FOR THIS. I APPRECIATE IT

edit: that didn't sound quite right. Just meant I checked the status checker so many times that I recognized her immediately haha. And she will greet you later on your journey.

I just saw movement for the first time since 1/11!! I wasn't checking the status checker in January, so I'm not sure if this is UR2 or UR3. I sent in a Why NYU last Wednesday.

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
look, the good news is that we have around 47 replies on the NYU Law: Late Waiters, 2020 page, not including those accepted. 47 of us can't all be waitlists or rejects, right? RIGHT?
EDIT: 70 replies! Lots of waiters. But if you applied after January 15th, I kindly request that you not add yourself to this sheet.

Re: NYU c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Was anyone like a Stats major or something and can analyze this google doc we got going on for clues? It looks pretty random to my eyes...seems like the distribution of scores are all over the place and the number of URMs seem to be the proportional range of what they would be in the normal applicant pool. But, I was a double humanities major so like ignore my diagnosis!? I just want answers!!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
