Thanks!!! Like everyone here said, it was a really enjoyable experience. Talked to Nefyn, and he was very positive and we had a nice conversation. Of course it increased my HLS hype, making my fear of rejection that much worse. It pretty structured compared to others people have posted on here about, so that was a small surprise but I much prefer specific questions to the "tell me something about yourself" so it was a positive.

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Glad to hear that!!! I'm sure the interview bumps the hype, although I can hardly fathom being even more hyped than I am now. It looks like we have pretty similar stats too, so we're probably feeling similar levels of rejection anxiety lol. Good luck on the wait!!!bamb00zled wrote:dooritos23 wrote:GOOD LUCK!!!! Certainly looks like no news today. I guess we live to worry for another day.

It is on the first page, the OP is tracking all waves. First, and only one so far, was in January.jlk411 wrote:has there been a previous ding wave already? I'm too lazy to go back and check...

One day more!
Another day, another destiny.
This never-ending road to uncertainty;
These JS2s for all our kitten signs,
Will surely come a second time.

I've kind of decided to live with the fact that the new JS2 wave isn't coming for a few weeks (my money is on the second or third week of March, circa the 12th), so I'm just hoping for a ding wave that we all survive.

Is it weird for my parents to attend ASW? They're really excited about Harvard and want to go, but at the same time if this isn't a family event, they're just going to have to wait until another time to purchase a "Veritas" sweatshirt. lol

I don't see anything wrong with them visiting the city at the same time, but the programming is definitely made for students, not parents. I can't remember off the top of my head if HLS is one of the few schools that offer, like, one event for parents/spouses, but I'd put my money on no. They're free to wander campus, check out Boston, and purchase a Veritas sweatshirt, but you should make it clear that they will not be with you for the vast, vast majority of the time. And given the fact that there will probably be things organized at night, it's even more unlikely that you will have time to, say, go to dinner with them in the North End after the official events end.Mbear5 wrote:Is it weird for my parents to attend ASW? Basically, they can come the same weekend, but they should basically plan it as a vacation that doesn't involve you in any way, shape, or form.

Does anyone know if the application for financial aid has opened yet? They said it would open late Feb. Want to make sure that I didn't miss anything. Thanks!

Guys, you know there's a whole thread for people to ask questions relevant to those already admitted, like ASW and Fin Aid applications. If you're feeling merciful, you could post there instead of here in the land of the outsiders wanting in:

Thanks lunixer. The last email I got was on Feb 1st, which said the application will open in late Feb. Did you receive any financial aid email after this?lunixer wrote:It has. I've been getting emails. And unless you're older than 29 start nagging your parents to file their taxes quickly!ypbravo wrote:Does anyone know if the application for financial aid has opened yet? I would generally agree with this...That said, there were parents at ASW last year. They were a little awkward but personality rather than role as parents was the reason for that, I think.Bearlyalive wrote:I don't see anything wrong with them visiting the city at the same time, but the programming is definitely made for students, not parents. Also there was a financial talk that was open to parents/SOs. If your parents are footing the bill I could see them wanting to go to that.
