There are over 60 of us here. Stanford's classes are usually between 150-200. We are past ASW, an event that is scheduled late enough for a full class to attend. A couple cancer-curers might be admitted from here on out, but for the rest of us...koalacity wrote:I disagree with your second point (though I agree with the first). With this many people left I assume there are definitely straight admits left...just might not be me!

Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
Honestly, at this point, I'd just rather they get it over with and send decisions. I mean, if they already have an almost full class and 60+ people are still left in review, there are clearly going to be people who are obviously higher priority than others. Just spare us the anxiety and do us in!!!!tparks wrote:There are over 60 of us here. Stanford's classes are usually between 150-200. Hmmm. 7 or 8 out of 60?

I think S's waitlist is even smaller than 60 people. Not that it matters much, their waitlist is one of the least active in the T14. Top tier school in paradise, I imagine their yield rate is too high to create much movement on the waitlist

Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
7 or 8 out of 60 sounds like a very plausible guess to me. If a tenth of all applicants are admitted (roughly), and if making it this far means we are at least slightly stronger than the general pool, then 8 out of 60 being straight admits, with some others waitlisted, sounds about right. But who knows? At least I'm still dreaming.

But ya, not a very favorable waitlist.

yeah just looked it up, ~47% in 2012, which is surprisingly low tbh. H's is 64%. I bet S gets hit hard with Y cross-admitsdrawstring wrote:Yield is 45 percent I think.tparks wrote:I think S's waitlist is even smaller than 60 people.
