Attached you will find the reading for next Friday’s “Civil Procedure” mock class with Prof. Wax. Please read the materials carefully, although feel free to spend less time on the last page (with the revised rule). Some of you will get called on."
Lol, I think they're saying the same thing.

If I haven't heard from Penn yet and the last time I was updated was 2/17 is it safe for me to assume that I've been rejected? I'im 165/3.77
Also- I have a letter of rec from an alumni addressed to the dean...where do I send that to during the waiting process? Overnight it?

I have no idea about your first question. Obviously.
I think your LOR needs to go through LSAC.

I already had my LOR's.
I remember people saying that schools (specifically Penn) accept letters from Alumni.
Anyone know about this and can guide me where to send it to?
Thanks

My uncle went to Wharton and now teaches at a top 20 university. Any idea if a letter from him would help me? I forgot tomention him on my original application bc i somehow only thought family that attended the law school would be relevant...fail!psach44 wrote:I already had my LOR's.

I don't know know if they would really like a LoR from a family member because of the whole bias issue. They are really looking for an impartial evaluation of your character/ability in your letters. Also, I think that for the most part they really only care about family that attended the law school, though Wharton is a pretty big deal, so you never know.

Re: Penn c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I'd say don't send. He doesn't teach there now (I assume), so it's not like he'd have so much pull as just an alumnus. Unless you were a research assistant for him for a summer or something and he can write it on your professional merits, it will probably backfire.Geneva wrote:My uncle went to Wharton and now teaches at a top 20 university. Now if he can tap an influential fellow alum to write one on your behalf, that might be another story.

haha, tls understands! i am so rooting for u and know how you feel. i just don't feel it for penn. again, this process is eerily similar to dating! that loving feeling is gone gone gone. only numbness and a memory of how it felt to want penn. BRING BACK THAT LOVING FEELING!QueMellow wrote:Teehee. I need to take it down a notch, I know.Geneva wrote:dear penn,QueMellow wrote:LET ME IN PENN!!!
