Community started out slow, but it's gotten very good. I've also been watching Archer on FX and becoming a big fan.

+1 I totally dig Community. I absolutely love Abed. He and Troy are so great together (last week -- "they're just jealous")!H. E. Pennypacker wrote:Community started out slow, but it's gotten very good. I've also been watching Archer on FX and becoming a big fan.

Re: Fordham Waiting Room
I briefly contemplated the idea that maybe The Office wasn't getting worse, the characters were just getting old and the ideas were getting repetitive. But I watched a couple of the older episodes recently and still thought they were hilarious. Lately it just feels like they're trying too hard. The clip show felt like they were trying to say, "Hey, remember how funny we used to be?"even2flow wrote:It was awful, but I absolutely watched the whole thing cause for some reason I sat there hoping it would stop. That was like 20 some odd minutes of being annoyed with the direction the show has taken lately, including the way it ended last night. Character development in a character driven sitcom? F that. I have Kardashians (sp?) to watch.rockthelaw wrote:
Ha, were you like me and said, "Really? A clip show?" And then watched the whole thing anyway?
I also watched "Community" for the first time last night. That show is pretty hilarious.
Haven't seen Community yet, but heard great things. Glad to see Chevy Chase back at it, watching Christmas Vacation was the tradition in my household every Christmas, so I think he's cool.
Aren't the writers of The Office now also writing Parks & Recreation? Maybe they're spreading themselves too thin? Either way, I'm looking forward to watching last night's episode...
Sorry to contribute to turning the Fordham thread into a discussion of The Office...
Also, +1 to the guy who just mentioned how awesome Modern Family is.

It's the Joel McHale (dude from The Soup) comedy on NBC. Supposed to be pretty funny.sibley wrote:What is this "The Community" experience everyone is discussing?

I wonder what The Soup is.
I need to get out more. Or stay in more. I need to vary the channels that I watch, at least.

The Soup is the single greatest 30 min of television per week. It's clips from every terrible reality show / daytime tv show / newscast where people make asses of themselves / are really creepy / really awkward.sibley wrote:even2flow wrote:It's the Joel McHale (dude from The Soup) comedy on NBC. Accepted! Complete 12/9, 164, 3.7 (very borderline numbers so this is great news for me! Especially after being waitlisted at Notre Dame and Illinois.)
Still waiting to hear back from a few reaches, but as of now there is a very strong chance that I will be attending Fordham next year! Now, I just have to figure out how an indigent law student can afford to live in uptown Manhattan...
