I got DLS today but still haven't gotten the email. Can these go out in waves over two days? I hope it's not a ding :/

UR1 10/30. Right now I want to murder my pre-law advisor who told me that submitting my application early in the cycle is worth more than retaking the LSAT. What a joke: submitting in October clearly meant nothing.HOS wrote:12/2, sitting here still. I've heard back from everyone else... just NYUuuuuuuuuuuuu to go.BoyOhBoyle wrote:Right there with you. Re: NYU c/o 2017 Applicants Thread!
I think what I've learned is that applying before early January doesn't make much of a difference. But applying after early January makes a HUGGGEEEEEE DIFFERENCE. I was wait-listed to a lot of schools that I "should" have been admitted to. Stats are 169 / 3.9x. (Applied Jan 22 and later to the T14)tsoprano wrote:UR1 10/30. WL'd today via email. Didn't check the Status Checker earlier today or last night.
I'm gonna hang out on the Waitlist but I'll obviously make serious plans elsewhere pretty soon now that I finally can keep the "maybe..." out of the equation.

edit: Also, yesterday was my 6 month aniversary for going under review. Maybe they´re planning something super special for the occasion?

Re: NYU c/o 2017 Applicants Thread!
The bottom line is that it's nearly impossible to decipher what factors, aside from raw numbers, can really sway an admissions officer. I think 3 points on the LSAT will completely outweigh sending an application in "late" in the cycle. Clearly, at least with NYU, decisions are not made based on when you submit.ianfaircloud wrote:I think what I've learned is that applying before early January doesn't make much of a difference. Not me and I can't log onto the ASW website. WL and dings are both by email correct?vivala wrote:Have yesterday's remaining DLS-ers heard yet?

Re: NYU c/o 2017 Applicants Thread!
Based on the 2010-11 and 2011-12 NYU application cycles, a major wave of waitlists and dings came out on 4/21 and 4/22, while even a few more came as late as either 4/25 or 4/26. I am praying that they are not waiting this long to send out more dings, especially since the number of applicants is down this cycle when compared 10-11 and 11-12. I am doubtful anymore decisions for applicants who have not went DLS this week (some baseless speculation).
