Gahhhh! Still nothing today

I called NYU and they said that they would resend it. Hopefully one of the two will reach me eventually.
I was really hoping they would break the rules for my birthday and tell me over the phone....... Lame.
Well, happy birthday anyway!

A lot of people (including me!) had "time travel" dates the first go rounds. As in, the status checker would update to a date in the past and say Decision Letter Sent. They were all still admits (RD).
Fingers crossed.
The return of the B-A-N-A-N-A-S NYU status checker.
I would be surprised, with numbers like yours, if it wasn't good news.
It was!

Application being processed 12/19

I'm complete basically everywhere else, usually the day after I submitted. Should I call the office? I want to go to complete at least! Gah!

Damn, does NYU update UR dates at all? Looking on LSN there are a few scattered acceptances after December for people with Oct/Nov submit dates, but not a lot. All of the waitlists I saw seemed to come in April, which really sucks.

Almost a month.... They go straight from application processing to under review at NYU though, so it doesn't mean your app is not complete.

It seemed like the early batches still took a while to go UR but those with auto-admit numbers went to the final decision status really quickly after going UR (a few days or so)

How bad are the chances of getting in if one has been held, ED -> RD? Or is it basically auto-waitlist?

I am in the same boat. Not gonna lie, but it seems grim.

As I understand it, at most schools, being held from ED to RD is not a good sign. And it makes sense: when you apply ED, you're presumably competing against those with lower numbers than those in the RD batch, so if you couldn't secure a spot ED, why would you have any better of a shot RD? Best of luck though.

This was asked on the previous page:
eskimo wrote:Buffalo Bill wrote:For those of us that were deferred from the ED pool to the reg. pool, are there any stats on acceptance rates, general timeline as to when we would generally here etc?
Just wondering like others that have posted on here whether I should take this as a soft rejection (like Columbia deferrals.)
http://nyu.lawschoolnumbers.com/applica ... =3&type=jd
There are the ED applicants on LSN from last cycle. Looks like every ED acceptance was in December, and all the deferred ED applicants got either waitlisted or rejected. Keep in mind that's a small sample size.

i honestly don't ever remember seeing "complete" on my status checker. one day i was processing; the next, a decision letter had been sent. from submission to the letter, the whole process literally took a day over a month.
