Yeah, I'm getting pretty disheartened and wondering if there's something terrible about my application that I don't know about. I will admit that I got bad study abroad grades in Buenos Aires, but I took hard classes and hadn't taken Spanish since 11th grade! It didn't affect my UGPA, but the grades are on my college's transcript for some reason.Sogui wrote:Your cycle is starting to freak me out man.CoaltoNewCastle wrote:My parents did get the mail today and the only thing in it was a rejection from Texas, which I assume is surprisingly bold yield protection.

Re: Columbia 2010
To clarify my study abroad GPA was a 3.0, but it might look worse to adcoms because the class I got an A in was twice as many credits as the others. Also I have to say that Bai is definitely above me on the chain because I feel better about my scholarship odds (and the idea that maybe Columbia doesn't like me) when I think about how she hasn't gotten her VCE yet either. Also she absolutely makes me feel better about HLS.

Dinged where? I saw he also got dinged at Yale, if that's what you are referring to. Texas YPed him for sure.managamy wrote:Core wrote:Another day of no news. Ugh...![]()

Coolegemex also got dinged, though, and he applied EA; I believe that he got at least two of HYS.
I realized that I ultimately want to remain and practice in NYC, but it seems like NYU/CLS are averse to my application (likely because of my LSAT score).
I already sent in a LOCI & updated transcripts. Do you think it would be inapprorpriate to send in a short letter stating I would withdraw from all other law schools if admitted to NYU/CLS (I would only write this to one of them, of course)?

Don't worry about your application. I just received a ding from Texas that was dated from a few days before I withdrew.CoaltoNewCastle wrote:Yeah, I'm getting pretty disheartened and wondering if there's something terrible about my application that I don't know about. If it's all 3 of you, I think we can say that UT is in fact YP'ing this year, in a very aggressive manner.managamy wrote:Sorry, I meant to quote CoaltoNewCastle.Core wrote:Dinged where?
