Well.
OK.
I don't even know who will still be here, in the morning.
All I can say is, I firmly believe it when Opera says that Fordham goes DEEP into the wait list.
Sleep well, everybody. Today was a difficult day. Tomorrow will be better.

this totally broke my heart, but your numbers are strong and I dont have a doubt in my mind that you will get some great acceptances.
looks like they started looking at the older apps again :-/
They do, seriously. Someone got in on the last day of orientation. That takes devotion IMO. This person went in person and asked, at the last possible minute, and made it happen.nygrrrl wrote:[Creeps quietly out from behind the chair where she has hidden, for most of the afternoon. Yep. A friend of mine who graduated last year told me that a girl had actually started at another school, got the call from Fordham, and moved to NYC a week into the semester. Incidentally, this same friend was also accepted off the waitlist. It took her until July 25th, but she tells me the wait was well worth it.OperaSoprano wrote:They do, seriously. I really am sorry about all this craziness, though, especially the rejections. Nothing makes that any easier.
Wow! That sounds torturous to me, though, especially considering the inevitable stress already accompanying the first semester of law school. If I get waitlisted, I'll ride it out to July at the latest. By August, I've gotta have a reliable plan. No unexpected moves to NYC in the first week of class for me haha.ccs1702 wrote:Yep. I assume that means no.cherryalamode wrote:asdfff wrote:Accepted via email earlier today! I like Fordham, but I don't know if I can justify going there at cost... Anyone know if Fordham is particularly good about merit aid?
LOL.
I remember reading on their website that merit awards range from 5k to 15K. Who the hell does Fordham think they are? I mean they are not Columbia or NYU where it doesn't matter that you graduate with 210K in debt because you went to school in NYC.asdfff wrote:I assume that means no.cherryalamode wrote:asdfff wrote:Accepted via email earlier today! Edit: And a quick search confirms that haha.
They don't have the money to give away. I pretty much knew this, when I applied - they are very open about it and it's fairly common knowledge. If you look at endowment numbers for the schools you've mentioned, this makes a lot of sense.Xiaolong wrote: I remember reading on their website that merit awards range from 5k to 15K. Is Fordham really poor? (Serious question) Otherwise I can't really figure out why they are so stingy when some peer schools are quite generous (think BU, WUSTL, GW).

I absolutely agree. I hope nothing at all happens today. I'm going to NYC tonight, to show the city some love, and then home for the rest of the weekend. I have books and a movie, and I'd like to forget about this for like a day or two.nygrrrl wrote:Well.

I don't think anyone would argue with that.nygrrrl wrote:here's hoping for

Something. She mentions it, in her profile - that there's something in her app that she's worried about.SAE wrote:There was a 167/3.7 dinged yesterday. This person is having a pretty rough cycle:
