Pardon my asking if this is easily available elsewhere, but do we know how many seats HLS will have in the c/o 2017 yet?

I haven't heard anything to suggest that they plan to have a materially smaller or larger class than the c/o 2016, which was 568.Nonconsecutive wrote:Pardon my asking if this is easily available elsewhere, but do we know how many seats HLS will have in the c/o 2017 yet?

I hadn't either, I was just wondering since I tend to be behind on such things. Thanks!lawschool22 wrote:I haven't heard anything to suggest that they plan to have a materially smaller or larger class than the c/o 2016, which was 568.Nonconsecutive wrote:Pardon my asking if this is easily available elsewhere, but do we know how many seats HLS will have in the c/o 2017 yet?

After 2.5 days of endless refreshing and unhealthy levels of anxiety, I've decided to leave TLS for the day and focus on my work. I realized that every time JS2s start to come out, I get too anxious/excited to get any work done.
In the event that JS2s do come out today, good luck, all! You're all fabulous and have made this wait more bearable.

With the radio silence I've had since 10/30, I've given up the last bit of hope I had at a JS1, but I think I'll stick around to cheer you guys on. Congratulations on all of the JS2s! Now, you guys get to be "the kind of people Harvard admits," and serve as leaders (and targets for jealousy) for the rest of your lives!

It looks like js2s yesterday only went for a couple of hours and ended at like 3:30 (Atleast on tls) that seems like a pretty small wave.

I wouldn't count yourself out entirely yet, especially with the way HLS has varied from past patterns this cycle.livefromannarbor wrote:With the radio silence I've had since 10/30, I've given up the last bit of hope I had at a JS1, but I think I'll stick around to cheer you guys on. Out of work and the anxiety is killing me. I think I'm going to go to a movie. Any suggestions? I've heard good things about American Hustle.
Obviously bringing my phone.

The only time it would be acceptable for your phone to ring in a movie theater.lawschool22 wrote:Out of work and the anxiety is killing me. I think I'm going to go to a movie. Any suggestions? I've heard good things about American Hustle.

(American Hustle looks great in the trailers, but I haven't seen it. If you go, let me know how it is!)

Unlike yesterday, I keep finding excuses to run errands and leave my phone behind in the hopes that I'll have a voicemail waiting when I get back. Watched pot never boils and all that jazz
(and why does TLS not have a tongue out emoticon - Razz is NOT THE SAME EMOTION!)

if anyone glares you, please cover the phone and say loudly, "sorry, I have to take the call from HARVARD."barrelofmonkeys wrote:The only time it would be acceptable for your phone to ring in a movie theater.lawschool22 wrote:Out of work and the anxiety is killing me. Haha that would be so awesome. That might make people in these parts hate me even more than they would for just answering the phone lolscoobers wrote:if anyone glares you, please cover the phone and say loudly, "sorry, I have to take the call from HARVARD."barrelofmonkeys wrote:The only time it would be acceptable for your phone to ring in a movie theater.lawschool22 wrote:Out of work and the anxiety is killing me. Alright I think it's the one. Nothing else looks that appealing. I want to see the Inside Llewyn Davis as well but it isn't in any theaters near me yet.jcb5329 wrote:Definitely see American Hustle. Are we pretty certain that this year will have 1200 JS1s like last year did? Also, anyone have any idea what portion of those 858 JS2s have been filled, and how many are admitted off the waitlist later on?

I just looked at the last two cycles. Last cycle saw the last JS2s go out on the Thursday before break, and the cycle before that saw them go out on the Wednesday before break.
I'm betting we've seen the last of them until next year.

I know there was at least one JS2 on Friday last cycle.

At which point, based on past data, it looks like there'll be another ~200 acceptances
