Re: WUSTL c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
I am in St. Louis right now visiting. Going to take a tour with admissions around campus tomorrow. I realize that this isn't the best time because there are no classes this week, but this is the only time I have to visit. Just wondering if I could get some recommendations on what to do tonight? Not wanting to stay out too late and would like to hang out in a nice part of town as well. Would like to know of some cool areas/restaurants/bars. Do people usually go to Forest Park at night or should I steer clear? Thanks in advance!

Parks close at sundown, so forest park isn't really an option. If you have time during the day it's beautiful there and free museum/free zoo = awesome. As for tonight, there are lots of nice restaurants in the loop and central west end (along with other shops). Central west end is more fancy and pricey, whereas the loop is cheaper and more casual. Both have good nightlife.johnnyquest wrote:I am in St. Louis right now visiting. Going to take a tour with admissions around campus tomorrow. JFC I love free zoos, not being sarcastic at all, I've visited my small local one like 300 times (donating each time, of course).BlackCanary wrote:free museum/zoo?guyfox wrote: Parks close at sundown, so forest park isn't really an option. When I was last in DC I went to TTT stuff like the Smithsonian and the White House, completely missed free pandas. Pangs of regret.scottidsntknow wrote:Welcome to your nation's capital.

St. Louis has this new seal aquarium or whatever where you walk right underneath the seals or whatever. Last time I was there I stood 12 inches from a snow leopard (them's endangered, yo) and made meowing noises. DC zoo is TTT.scottidsntknow wrote:DC ZOO is free it is 180 we have pandas hth. I ended up sticking close to the hotel and walking to the Schiafly Tap Room. Had a great time. I guess I'll check out the loop tomorrow! Thanks for the suggestions.johnnyquest wrote:I am in St. Louis right now visiting. Going to take a tour with admissions around campus tomorrow.
