The other side of that conversation, though, is that we have no idea how they got that award. They have lower numbers than mine with no comparable scholarship. I sent them a full-ride at UVA and the best they could do is $120k. Thus, I have no idea how to get up to that $150k mark.

I think it's just luck. Someone must've turned down a Dean's and they decided to pick someone else to get that amount. They just happened to pick them instead of you.

Can't predict success without knowing numbers and other offers, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

I've been UR since 3/26. I'm a reverse-splitter, URM. Sent in a LOCI a couple of days ago that was confirmed, but my status checker didn't update. Not sure if that means anything, as in, maybe I have no file at this point, but I guess we will all know more by a week from now. Stay strong!

I've been UR since 3/26. I'm a reverse-splitter, URM. Sent in a LOCI a couple of days ago that was confirmed, but my status checker didn't update. Not sure if that means anything, as in, maybe I have no file at this point, but I guess we will all know more by a week from now. Stay strong!

Because, as the person above me stated, the 26th is the first seat deposit deadline. I'm guessing there will have to be some kind of movement between now and then.

Unimpressed by ASD. Still would go if they have me more $$ but the ASD didn't show me much other than that the dean think now is a great time to attend Cornell. Real shocker there.

unsure about that actually. I dont have as much info as others here but unlike other schools Cornell rejected people throughout the cycle. TBH I am wondering why they are keeping me for so long as they had plenty of opportunities to reject me since I got complete in Jan. My thinking (and I may be wrong) is since I am a non trad URM they are keeping me at least until the 4/26 deadline to see how many URMs deposit before they make their final call about me. I could be wrong though

Application finally complete. I was told that I'd receive a decision by the end of the month, so should be hearing back in the next week! Exciting stuff.
