Held at 11:30, just saw the e-mail. :( JR1 2/16. Does anyone know 1) What a standard LOCI is supposed to look like? 2) What the deal is as far as scholarship deadlines, etc? I have a scholly offer with an April 7 deadline, which I will definitely accept if I don't get in anywhere else. But...what if I do and I don't find out until later? Are people "allowed" to choose a different school after submitting an intent to enroll form? Hmmmm.....

I tell myself that they all go out at once, and the variation in TLS reporting times is due to how long people cry to themselves before informing the rest of us. So, by my cracked logic, I am safe for today, but I will still puke a little in my mouth when the Gmail goes to "Inbox (1)" for the rest of the afternoon.

+1

Clinging on to whatever false sense of security I have.. At least until HLS rips it away.. Along with my heart.

Dinged finally. No hold, no JR1, no surprise.

Does anyone have an alternative e-mail address for them that I can actually get in touch with someone alive?
So we do have to snail mail scholarship deadline notifications to H?

Call them or send them a paper letter by overnight UPS.

Call. Much harder to imitate life when voice enters the equation.

Sorry to hear the bad news from some people today.

Can people getting their decisions today also share their UR or submission dates? Thanks.

No probs. It's only insensitive if I'd actually been expecting to get in. Mine was received at 2:52.

seems like emails are sent out in batches. What are the chances of more emails being sent out in the next hour or so before closing time?

Er, or MST is 2 hours ahead/behind of EST...

Actually, I think it's probably the same time. I'm so ego-centric sometimes that I forget that there are other timezones. I'm EST. I believe EST and MST are off by two hours.

Is Harvard on spring break next week? Admissions closed I guess?

I work for a university and admissions did not close during spring break. I would assume Harvard is the same.

Spring break seems to mainly be for students and faculty, not administrative offices.

Just looking at last year's thread, however, there was NO movement for the week of HLS' spring break.

Has anyone tried calling the office before about scholarship deadlines from other schools? I haven't heard a thing from them since I applied and I'm think about calling Monday morning.

I'll probably be typing up a letter and snail mailing them soon.

Post-Hold, want to send in a LOCI and additional LOR. For the LOR, do I snail mail it directly to HLS, or should it go through LSAC?

Either option works. If the LOR can be used for multiple schools, you might want to send it to LSAC. Either way the new LOR should show up on the status checker. If you do it through LSAC, make sure to assign the letter to Harvard.

Also important to note that if you already used 4 LORs, you have to send it directly to LSAC anyway (although you probably should not send 5 letters anyway).
