Grats to those who are getting in.
I'm pretty upset that I've not been accepted. I'm still remaining hopeful..why put me on the waitlist if I'm not actually a viable candidate? But it leaves me wondering why I am not as good a choice as other people at this point.

Be patient. Your numbers are good. Much better than mine. Have you sent a loci or additional information? I did so and I think they liked this and it played a hand in my Acceptance. I think you'll get in.

Aside from the form for the waitlist, I haven't submitted anything else. What additional information did you send? You think an unsolicited LOCI is a good idea?alicrimson wrote:Be patient. I received an email confirming they received the WL form, but nothing since. Now that I've heard people are being informed by email, I'll be stalking my inbox lol.

I think it is a good idea. It just lets them know you want in. I wrote a LOCI updating them on an improved gpa, several awards, and had a new LOR. Also, one of my original LOR writers wrote a second one as well. I don't think it could hurt. Also, when they emailed me to ask if I was still interested in attending on Wed I wrote in the email that if I get in, I'm going. This was true of my situation. Whether it had any value to it or not, I don't know. I do know that it probably won't hurt. I think its rare someone loses a spot because they're too eager.wbbguy wrote:Aside from the form for the waitlist, I haven't submitted anything else. What additional information did you send? I legitimately felt bad for turning down FSU after everything they did for me...but I'll be joining the Gator nation in August
...and, if all goes to plan, getting married over spring break!

Yayyyy!!! My advice is to def do your planning this summer! Thats why I rushed my wedding a bit before law school. Insane stress from wedding planning + insane stress from law school= lose! haha.Skipper2014 wrote:I legitimately felt bad for turning down FSU after everything they did for me...but I'll be joining the Gator nation in August...and, if all goes to plan, getting married over spring break!

Every job I applied to I got, and my friends all got good ($$$) jobs right after graduation... but I guess we are not a good representation? Maybe fresh college graduates are different? anyway, I was more commenting on Florida as a whole. We have 4/10 cities on that list and the biggest representation of suck. I'm really surprised Tampa and Orlando are on there.. from my experience I thought Tampa was doing better than cities like Atlanta but what do I know.

Re: U. of Florida 2010-2011 Applicants!!
Been lurking on here for awhile and finally got in last week. Thought I'd throw my two cents in on the questions about apartments. I haven't heard anything negative about Camelot and I'm pretty sure that's where Tebow lived so I doubt its a bad place.thewarflamingo wrote:Any current students know anything about Camelot apartments? The front office lady said it's like 95% law students, so I assume it's a decent place? I really liked it when I visited, but I'd like to hear how management is, etc. if anyone knows.
For anyone who's still looking, I rent in Campus Edge Condos and I'd definitely recommend looking there. It's just over a mile to the law school, mainly grad students, has a pool and gym, and is right down the street from UF's SW Rec Center. I found my place through craigslist and last time I looked there were still some listings in the complex.
Anyways, congrats to everyone who's gotten into UF. Oh and most importantly, count me in on all future TLS ragers haha!!

Re: U. of Florida 2010-2011 Applicants!!
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say congrats to all who were accepted in last year's admissions cycle! I'm sure you're all very excited about fall. =)
I'll be applying for Fall 2012 and I just wanted to ask you guys a few questions.
I've got a 4.0 and my PTs are typically in the 165-170 range, but you never know what will happen on test day which is June 6th for me. My first question is simply: what kind of chances would an applicant have with a 160 and 4.0 (not URM)? Would this kind of LSAT score be likely to result in a waitlist or worse? What kind of an LSAT score would be likely to result in an early acceptance and some kind of scholarship offer, given my GPA? Also, if I decided to retest in October would that have any significant complications for my application?
Thanks for your help.

Take the test till you get a 170. You obviously can given the quality of your PTs. Enjoy Colombia, Chicago, or NYU. Congrats on a great GPA.seancris wrote:Hey everyone,
