Looking at last year's LSN, it looks like there were more rejection waves about 2 and 3 weeks after the first one. So...that means maybe this week?

Nothing in that interview provides any information about different qualifications in FR or any explanation of why faculty review exists or why an application is turned over to FR or kept AR.dudester wrote:Inaccurate. http://www.top-law-schools.com/tom-interview.htmlBenJ wrote:Faculty Review, and neutral. At this point in the game, about equal percentages of FR and AR (administrative review) candidates were accepted the past few years. FR-track applications are read by faculty members, while AR-track applications are read only by admissions staff.mdgold wrote:what is FR? and is it good to get it?
That's a very sketchy description, but it's basically true. Also, the reasons behind an application being FR rather AR are totally unknown. All applications are AR until January, when FR starts. My guess is that the difference is intended to be negligible, and bringing in the faculty is just a way to speed up the process once they start getting really inundated after the December LSAT.

Just curious: for those who received the FR e-mail today, what time did the e-mail arrive in your mailbox?

I'm pretty sure the FR e-mails are done. The question is...is there another round or are the rest of us bound for rejectionlandReedie wrote:10:04 AM Pacific.sandiecohen47 wrote:Just curious: for those who received the FR e-mail today, what time did the e-mail arrive in your mailbox?

Re: Berkeley 2010
I'm going to disagree with you about the end of FR e-mails. Historically, there has been a second FR in March for later applicants. Also, I personally know a 171+/3.8+ out there with great softs who applied early and has still heard nothing. I have hope. Although it's fading fast.msch0i wrote:I'm pretty sure the FR e-mails are done. may I ask when your application went UR?
How long does it usually take from UR to FR?

UR 1/11, 178/3.78, no FR email. I suspect us late apps get an AR period before maybe going FR in February or March, though.

I think I have a strong app, so I would guess that I was a borderline admit and Tom is trimming down the admin review admit pile. You are still in it. I'm out.5ky wrote: FWIW, I am 11/02 UR, still no FR email. 171/3.94
That is pure speculation on my part. I sent in my app Oct 27, but was a December retake.

I'm in the 11/2 UR crowd with no FR, too. I think I have a strong app/softs/etc but my numbers are just below their 25ths

Dean Tom,
I'm in your UR 1/11 pile, the splitter with slightly under 25th GPA and slightly over 75th LSAT. I'm patiently waiting for you to admit me to my top choice so I can withdraw everywhere else and enroll.
<3 boiler
(sorry veri)
