All I can think of is the fact that I have my multiple scores. I know people say it doesn't matter, but my cycle is starting to make me think otherwise.WhiteGuy5 wrote:Yeah but people who have a legit shot at Harvard but don't get in will be fine in the end no matter what. Damn bro, sorry to hear that. Can you think of a reason why they reserved you though? It seems REALLY odd.poe wrote:Yeah, I was reserved yesterday. Pretty disappointing - I was expecting a hold.

How likely is it to get money at CLS? Go to LSN and check out some example offers. It should give you a very rough idea of what stats tend to get $.Geneva wrote:How likely is it to get money at CLS? It's all subjective and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Mine, Harvard or Yale > Columbia+$. Law school is a financial investment, but an academic one as well and allotted prestige magnified with superb academic opportunities as well as employment prospects bodes in favor of HLS or YLS...just seems like the right path for myself. To each their own.soj wrote:Go to LSN and check out some example offers. It should give you a very rough idea of what stats tend to get $.Geneva wrote:How likely is it to get money at CLS? Particularly within CCN, there doesn't seem to be any clear-cut "best" option and it really just comes down to individual preference. I think the only definitive advantage that Columbia has over the other two is lay prestige (which, again, is valued differently by different people). Within many academic/intellectual circles, UChicago is probably held in higher esteem than Columbia.

You can't update old entries though, so some people who were "no-holds" before have been held (I'm one of them). Still, doesn't seem like there's any pattern at all to this process thus far.

And I agree with the above.

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Hi everyone...first post
I've been WLed at Columbia and it's my first choice. I've sent in an LOCi, but as for an updated transcript, would you guys recommend my giving it to them in person since I'm in NYC? (I know that I'll probably have to go through a secretary, but still) Will it show that I am really interested, or will it annoy them? Or will it not make a difference? Might it be safer to send it via e-mail so that I know someone received it?
Thanks guys

Thanks guys
