I was waitlisted today, my stats are in my profile. I'm not terribly surprised I got wl'd given my GPA, but I did take the LSAT twice and the first time was abysmal. I also wrote an addendum explaining away my first super low LSAT score. Basically, I'm not sure if I was wl'd because of my GPA, my retake, or some combination thereof...

To add a data point on the other side of the retake question, I took the LSAT only once and I have an abysmal GPA, and I was accepted to NYU in December. Of course it's hard to know if that means anything given my sample size of one, but it fits the pattern of retakes counting slightly against an applicant. I doubt I would have had as much success in my cycle if I had an additional, significantly lower score on my LSAC report. But who knows.

Of course I also wonder whether the fact that I applied late (January) contributed to my wl- i.e. I wonder if early on in the cycle it matters less that an applicant has multiple LSAT's, but as the cycle progresses and spots become fewer and fewer, the selectivity increases. Looking at LSN, it seems as if people around my numbers got in earlier in the cycle, and I find it hard to believe that amongst that whole sea of green a few folks didn't have multiple LSAT's. Just food for thought, it is whatever it is and there's little we can do about it except speculate- but speculating is so much fun!

I went UR mid Novemeber (11/20 or so). We'll know soon enough via e-mail if that's the case.

I'm still UR 1/23. I think my late UR date, plus low LSAT might send me a big REJECTION email, whenever I go DLS. With all of your stats, I don't think think it should be a concern... I'm pulling for you all

I'm not super worried about a rejection, but not at all hopeful of a straight acceptance. Fortunately, I think my numbers are pretty high in the WL/silence groups, so my odds of getting in off the WL are hopefully solid

Thanks for the positive thoughts! I think my numbers are really marginal, at best, for NYU. It looks like a coin-flip, since 3 people with my numbers got in, 1 got a WL and 1 was rejected (according to LSN). So here's to hoping they don't think my app is super lame or something! Either way, it'll be nice to have the closure at this point in the cycle.

I'm with you guys there. For me it's either NYU or work... I'd rather go to school next year, but with my shitty LSAT I don't know why I ever expected another outcome. I'll probably retake come June and ED to NYU next cycle (unless I pull out an amazing score and YHS is an option)...
