It's not fooling. They have to give us a decision. It just doesn't have to be a JR2 or even a JR1. But one day, I have faith, they'll remember that they have to tell me no. Just for propriety's sake.

Who knows what's going to happen now. The waves of jr1s should be done. I'd imagine old patterns won't apply from this point.

Just got the "hold" email. JR1 was 2/16. LOCI going out today!

Just got Hold email. 179 (retake), 3.63, Teach for America. Submitted: 12/22, Complete: 1/20. No JR1.

held is better than rejected. last year my cuz who was 171 3.7 and had a fulbright grant was on the waitlist and got in to harvard in june. she dropped her seat reservation at columbia like a hot potato!

Have we as a thread ever figured out whether all of a given Friday's holds are sent simultaneously in a single email blast? ie, am I "safe" from holds for the day if I haven't received one by the time others report them on TLS?

Agreed! Already wrote my LOCI and I'll be running it over to the post office this afternoon. Since the big rush on Monday passed me by, I was depressed for a day before I got over it and my nerves have actually settled down. Now I'm just going to hold out hope and accept whatever happens!

Will this be another quiet Friday? HLS goes on Spring Break after today so I'm thinking we shouldn't expect anything for at least a week. On another note, I keep replaying my JR1 over in my head and keep thinking why oh why didn't I say this or why did I say this, blah blah blah. Blah.

I never got a JR1, so it was no big surprise. The only surprise was how long it took them to reject me. Columbia is my dream anyway. If I had gotten in, I feel like I would have had a hard time turning it down, because, you know, it's Harvard. Passing up your dream twice is not fun.

As for ASW, I want to. It depends on if I can find a flight to have me back in Michigan before midnight so that I can pick up my boyfriend from the airport.

I tell myself that they all go out at once, and the variation in TLS reporting times is due to how long people cry to themselves before informing the rest of us. So, by my cracked logic, I am safe for today, but I will still puke a little in my mouth when the Gmail goes to "Inbox (1)" for the rest of the afternoon.
