A young attorney I know stated that he was waitlisted at NYU and it came by mail, not email. Of course this was a few years ago, but thought I'd share regardless.

If this is a waitlist wave and they're going out by mail, do we think they were sent on 4/11, the date listed, or today, when the status actually *changed?* (textbook baseless speculation question)

I received an email about 20 minutes ago. I am not sure if the status checker switch or email came first. It's a chicken-and-egg thing.

So... I checked my status checker this morning (like the Stockholm Syndrome victim I am), and I was still UR1 11/8.

Checked today, and it says "DLS 4/11/2014"
Uhhhhh... No email yet, and can't log into ASW.

Fuck this.

Yuuuup, welcome to our club. It appears we're a different group than the people who've just received waitlist emails, who have DLS 4/13. Of course I've been thinking I'm also a waitlist, so the distinction may mean nothing. But no email/call/ASW success over here.
