I still hold that it's because they're creating a special TLS Fellows of 2017 and it's taking a while to figure out all the logistics.

Being a fellow requires high proficiency in .gifs, baseless speculation, and proper forum etiquette.

There are no real benefits.

Ahhhhhhh must get to 100 posts and start posting reaction gifs.

One does not merely gifpoast their way into a TLS fellowship. It takes months of carefully cultivated posting and a thoughtfully-crafted narrative, but someday, you too can be TLSfamous.

Lol. I didn't think that we'd see movement today. I'd be surprised if there weren't decisions this week though. I don't know if that means acceptances, but I imagine Stanford has to get on with it sooner or later.

I'll be at Stanford to drive down to Coachella with a group of friends next week. If we still haven't seen much movement by then, I'll sacrifice myself and barge into Faye's office demanding answers on behalf of TLS.

Sorry to hear that . You can call to find out if it's a waitlist or a ding-this is traditionally around when they start releasing WL decisions.
