But it is really not that big of a deal. Ad Com or X Law School Admissions works just fine. Focus more on its content.

+1
These things really mean nothing.

So the reserve pile isn't ordered or anything like that. But is the WL numbered? And can I find out my number? WL is supposed to come out in May right?

They all claim that WL are not ranked.

I'm getting really tired of waiting for Cornell to get back to me with a scholly offer. Not sure why they told me I'd be receiving a decision "very soon" six days ago. (First world problems, right?)

That's depressing. I just sent an email to the financial aid office yesterday, but I doubt I'll hear back anytime soon.

On the waiting for scholarship offer thing: I waited a little more than a week to hear back about my request for additional aid. They sent me an e-mail that the offer had been increased, including the new amount but without an attached letter (which I wanted to send along to other schools). It was another week before the offer actually showed up in the mail. I requested another increase and am once again waiting. I liked the folks in the financial aid office, but their turnaround time for e-mails pales in comparison to UCLA, GW, and Michigan, all of which got back to me within 48 hours on financial aid related requests. Have you guys had better luck on the phone?

Wait, they never e-mail the letter as an attachment? I'm waiting for a follow-up as well...

I'm still waiting too, last decision other than WLs. Submitted 1/14, sometime in March, 4/5, and 4/11 I think.

The initial offer they sent as an attachment, but the increase was only sent via USPS, and it came about a week after they told me they had decided to award additional aid. I attributed the delay to a desire to limit negotiating options, because changing six two characters in pdf seems simple. But perhaps they're just busy and disorganized. Feeling like they delayed in an effort to push me up against other schools' decision deadlines really rubbed me the wrong way. It very well may be that they just need to wait for more people to withdraw to avoid missing their revenue target. Perhaps it's not about my application at all.

Related: My approach to money to this point in my life could be summarized as, "I made 100 monies at work, so I have 100 monies to spend!" Nothing makes me feel shiny & dumb quite like taxes and financial aid. I am also WAY too old to have that attitude...

Welp, this looks promising. The schedule for this week's ASD just came out, and they got rid of the financial aid session.

Cornell's sending out financial aid decisions this week. Mine was emailed this morning by request. Ending up getting $15k less than my number twins on LSN, so I think Cornell is being less generous at this stage of the cycle.
