After being invited to a group interview in early Dec (but I was out of town), just now got invited to another one next week...

Interesting. Did the invitations say that they would be group interviews? I'm hoping mine will one on one.

Yep - it says in the email that it's a group interview. I'm not sure if the consensus was that group means your borderline or that they are just doing this for applicants closer to major metropolitan areas.

Thanks. They might just do group interviews to reduce the burden on alums in areas with a lot of applicants.

So I have my interview tomorrow. I found out today that I will be in DC at the end of March as part of the Clinton Global Initiative Conference. Would it be good to email the admissions office about this and the interest of scheduling a visit despite the likelihood that their decision on me would probably be made by that point? If it is, should I do this after my interview or now? Thanks for the help guys. :]

I would probably try to set up a visit ASAP. It seems that most interviews are for people below one or both medians, but Georgetown still wants (at least, someone said that) (or for YP reasons). So, it wouldn't hurt to do it now.

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't being too pushy or anything. One can never know. xD

As long as you aren't sending emails every few days asking when you'll get money or an answer, I think you're fine haha

So this may seem desperate but my file has been under review since early January and I'm regretting not sending a Why Georgetown. Is it too late? Should I wait and send a LOCI instead? Hearing about all these interview requests has me feeling lonely. Also I live in the middle of nowhere so there probably isn't anyone close I could interview with. Would it be odd to email to say I would be willing to come to DC to interview? Too forward? I was never good at the chase.

They would have given you a phone interview if you're not near alumni

Wow, numbers and complete/update twin! I thought my app updated because I sent in an loci, but maybe they ARE actually beginning to review my file! I'm hopeful for both of us!

Just got a response to an email from Georgetown: ED applicants that were deferred should hear back by the end of February. any other ones of you out there?

Also what does it mean if my address spelling was changed-- from number (ie. 8th to Eight Street) and from SE to Southeast?

Is that exclusive? In our language:

Address Change --> Admitted
OR is it
Admitted --> Address Change

so if we're accepted we'll get something via snail mail as opposed to email? or will the quickest way to find out be logging into ASW?

acceptances usually come via snail mail, while rejections/ waitlists/ defer come via email.
ASW would still be the fastest way
