That follows my sentiment that GULCs admissions staff has no heart whatsoever.MissLucky wrote:shiiiiit...how were you not waitlisted at the worst? oh dearrobin600 wrote:rejected 163/3.65 PT ED

Re: Georgetown 2013/ (2014)
I'm honestly sort of relieved. We had a whole week to come to terms with the fact that we most likely weren't in for good news. Also, we had a week to see the "real" Georgetown and how it honestly functions behind the brochures and pretty pictures. The school had dropped pretty far down my list over this past week so I'm much happier to get it over with than get some eternal waitlist. Though I was convinced I had a solid shot at getting in as a 167, 3.5x URM. VERY few URM's with those numbers were rejected in the past few years, and I wrote a very specific and honest "Why G-Town" statement. So, I'm surprised, yet relieved.

I've been rejected/waitlisted at 5 places so far...Unless Washington and Lee or William and Mary pull through (and it looks like they won't) I'm not going to law school..... the way this cycle looks i'm not going anywhere.clint4law wrote:Why robin? I don't know what to say. I spoke with Mr.Cornblatt personally when I visited the school and he was really thrilled by my story and said I was a strong applicant. Couldn't he have at least told me the truth???

Also, I'm glad I don't have to follow this thread anymore and piece together a bunch of BS from the group of inept fools that run the G-Town admissions office. Guys, think about how poorly that school must be run. The admissions office is the "face" of the school and the part that sells the product. Typically, these sorts of offices make the school look and seem better than it really is. So if their admissions office is this shitty, just imagine how poorly run the overall product must be? I'm not gonna let this get me down. Pretty much everyone on here will have no shortage of great opportunities and choices in the near future. So keep those heads up.

Lol at you thinking that anyone at G-Town would give a straight story. Sorry about the rejection though.robin600 wrote:I've been rejected/waitlisted at 5 places so far...Unless Washington and Lee or William and Mary pull through (and it looks like they won't) I'm not going to law school..... the way this cycle looks i'm not going anywhere.clint4law wrote:Why robin? No the Cornblatt is the Dean for Admissions..the other dude was the Dean for the whole schoolGreen Crayons wrote:Is that the new or old dean since apparently their previous one left on 12/2 to go to the UN? Yeah, I pretty much knew I wasn't in from the beginning but I think that its pretty horrible to make us wait a week for a standard form letter.sharthree wrote:Seriously, aside from the fact that I got rejected; I want the world to know that Georgetown absolutely doesn't care about applicants. They forced us to wait a week to tell us we had been rejected? Disrespectful.

Ding for me too. I would have been mightily surprised had I received anything other than an outright rejection.
I am bummed it took them just over a week from decision to sending a very short e-mail rejecting me. It seems unnecessarily stressful. At least UGA simply updated me via the status checker. Saved me some worry.

I feel as if all my hard work for the past two years has gone down the drain. I'm sorry guys for being a debby downer right now, but this really hurts because i was told by numerous people that I had a great shot. IDK what to do right now, I don't know if I can take the LSAT again because I don't know if I can get my accommodations paperwork in on time. I'm sooo numb right now....
