You have to mail in the form included in your acceptance packet. Not sure what you do if you are on a waitlist.
so if I just don't deposit by the deadline does this have the same effect? I think I'm going to try and withdraw by email and see what they say.
Yes, not depositing is pretty much the same thing.

ok I withdrew this morning, I looked at the page they gave me in the acceptance packet and it said you can withdraw by email so that is what I did. Hopefully it will open up another spot for someone prior to the deposit deadline.

Someone did that earlier in the cycle and Duke sent back an email telling them to mail in the form, lol. Did you just send an email or attached a scanned copy of that form filled out?

Got a scholly package with $60k over three years. Unfortunately I just don't have time to visit North Carolina in the next two weeks. I'll be withdrawing shortly.

Does anyone know how many of Duke's graduates in 08 and 09 were enrolled in the "Bridge to Practice" program upon graduation? Does anyone think the career services office would be forthcoming with this information?

I've heard them retract offers for people asking too many questions....They are kind of like the mob in that sense....Best to stay silent.

Thanks!

4/30, but all deposits have to be received by that point so you could see movement as soon as the next day.

Dear Mr. chicoalto:

Thank you for applying to Duke Law School. I am writing to provide an update on the status of your application.

We are approaching the deposit deadline for applicants who have already been admitted for our fall semester. Once these have been received, we will have a much clearer sense of the status of our class, and will evaluate whether we are able to make additional offers of admission from our waitlist.

In order to confirm your interest in being considered for a seat in the fall class, please complete this form online no later than Friday, April 23. Even if you have already contacted us regarding your continued interest, you must complete this form for full consideration.

Click here to confirm your interest in admission to Duke Law

Although we hope that you are still interested in the possibility of attending Duke, this form will also allow you to indicate that you wish to be removed from our waitlist.

I appreciate your interest in Duke Law School, and your patience through this lengthy admissions process. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Mark Hill
Director of Admissions
