Wait until you get the book....... I'm wearing my Harvard tshirt right now because I woke up this morning in a really pro-H mood after reading my book last night.Bearlyalive wrote: Can confirm, I'm as yet undecided but I joined the group. I'm also swooning over receiving my HLS email address earlier today, and eagerly looking forward to receiving my physical letter, so damnit if JS and her crew aren't doing a fantastic job at hyping me up to go despite my not even having said yes yet haha.

But the above sentiment is exactly why I'm avoiding legitimate HLS stuff. If I was handed a HLS jacket at this point, all rational thought would go out the window and I'd have an extended mental blackout, before suddenly coming to wearing a gown with a HLS diploma in my hand saying, "Wuh? How'd I get here?"

Had my JS1 & ready to join you all! Was told I'd likely have a decision by April 1. Lots of Lamaze breathing 'til then.

Wore it for my interview, and coincidentally was wearing it when I got my JS2.

Lol'd hard at this. Idk about you guys but it was like this for pretty much every school for me. It's only just starting to wear off a bit to the point where I can start to think rationally about this decision.

Anyone else praying for another round of JS2's today? Putting some positive energy geared toward admissions into the world this morning.

I just looked at the last two cycles, It appears to be between 3/6-3/11, aka the 2nd week of March. I'm above both medians and in your boat, so I'm waiting until then before I give up hope.drblakedowns wrote:In previous years, when was the latest that JS1s went out?

Anyone know how many applicants they plan to interview this cycle? Is is still 1,200 or are they increasing to 1,400? I know that was a rumor I heard.

Still praying for a JS1, but with a complete date in early October, I think a JS-less WL is the best case scenario... Which would suck.

Someone said JS1s go out as late as March. No giving up hope until the ding letter comes.

This was discussed on page 115 of this thread. IMO the comment JS made in 2012 about the changes in interviewing was misinterpreted and the number of applicants interviewed each year is not ever-expanding, but rather is fairly consistent year to year in keeping with the 2012 changes.pterodactyls wrote:Anyone know how many applicants they plan to interview this cycle? Thanks! Sorry for the repost, was just wondering if there was any new info. But now that I see that discussion was on Feb 8th, I'm sure there is not haha.EnderWiggin wrote:This was discussed on page 115 of this thread. Your consistent 1,200 theory makes sense to me. Why would they ever-expand interviews if they were going to accept the same number every year? It's just more work for the admissions staff.

+1, I take Ender's side on this. There is nothing that I can find that implies the admissions office continued to expand interviews beyond the initial bump to 1200EnderWiggin wrote:This was discussed on page 115 of this thread.
