wow that's a long time.. my new favorite hobby is complaining about not having a JS1 and I've "only" been waiting since November. but the way I think about is that no news is not bad news. only bad news is bad newsblue2016 wrote:I went complete in late September, and haven't had a JS1 or a ding. Hit the nail right on the head here. Til the ding email comes through, all of us are still in the game!theconsigliere wrote:wow that's a long time.. my new favorite hobby is complaining about not having a JS1 and I've "only" been waiting since November. but the way I think about is that no news is not bad news. only bad news is bad newsblue2016 wrote:I went complete in late September, and haven't had a JS1 or a ding. Another day, another 8 hours of constantly refreshing my email in hopes of a JS1.

If it makes you feel any better I went complete in September and had not heard anything until last week and got a JS1...trust me I had lost all hope but it does happenpittsburghpirates wrote:Hit the nail right on the head here. Does anyone believe there may be another JS2 wave in Feb? Looks like they did one wave over one or two days in the middle of Dec, Jan, and Feb so far. Anyone think there will be movement in the next two weeks or are we all waiting for mid March to start thinking about JS2s again?

I think there will be a wave in the beginning of March. We're one wave behind last year's cycle, and they either have to admit more people each wave (which they may be doing, I haven't been counting that closely) or they'll have to have more waves.itsgonnahappen wrote:Does anyone believe there may be another JS2 wave in Feb? Haha, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ sounds about right...I do agree that early March seems likely.schocolate wrote:I think there will be a wave in the beginning of March. I think when the next ding wave is going to be is a more interesting (and terrifying) question now. According to LSN, the mid-February wave last year was almost entirely just dings. And the March 2 wave was mainly dings while the March 8/9 wave was acceptances.

I had my JS1 on 1/14, but no JS2. Have most people from around then heard back by now?

Thanks for this! Does it look like the fb group is all admits or is it mostly those who have already largely decided they will be attending HLS in the fall?MajinBuu wrote:There are now 288 people in the FB group

I don't think there is any way to know that, but I would guess a lot of undecided people are in that group! I know there is a lot of overlap with H and the full rides at CCN which may sway people, as well as overlap with YS. I'm not decided yet but I joined immediately because I wanted to feel ~special~itsgonnahappen wrote:Thanks for this! Man, this thread died after the two JS2 waves last week. Lol. I guess everyone shifted over to the class of 2019 thread.

I wonder if Lil Seb is ever coming back
he could singlehandedly revive this thread for sure, if he hasn't already moved on to greater things

Re: Harvard C/O 2019 Applicants
Can confirm, I'm as yet undecided but I joined the group. I'm also swooning over receiving my HLS email address earlier today, and eagerly looking forward to receiving my physical letter, so damnit if JS and her crew aren't doing a fantastic job at hyping me up to go despite my not even having said yes yet haha.texasellewoods wrote:I don't think there is any way to know that, but I would guess a lot of undecided people are in that group!
