Ding and/or WLs go DLS first, correct?

I was wondering this too. Can anyone confirm/deny?

I was rejected on Monday and my status checker didn't change to DLS until after I received the email

Did you go to UR2 first? I'm still at UR1 but really can't imagine there will be any movement between now and the ding

my status updated to DLS around two days ago...but I've heard nothing since then. Can anyone confirm or deny? Are dings sent via email, or mail? and what comes first, the ding/WL or the update?

Lol i've been checking my online status checker like every couple hrs, for the last few days, and I just checked it again after reading your post about acceptances! But still nothing~ UR1 since 1/15...i swear they had completely forgotten about me.... ;(

I am conflicted. I would like to assume that the remaining applications under review are in the running for WL and/or Acceptance consideration. However, given the recent wave of dings, my speculation my not hold true as some applicants who applied in 2013 were rejected. The data from last year on LSN does not seem to provide any help as well because most decisions that came out this time last were WL and a few more rejections. There seems to be too many people who have not yet received decisions to assume--although I would love to--that all remaining applicants are up for WL. I pray NYU is not holding dings to just submit them all at one time, especially since deposits for most schools are this Tuesday. Please no false hope NYU!

I was thinking the same thing, like a sad desperation pitch lol but does anyone know if NYU includes scholarship info in their acceptance info or is there another process for that after acceptance?

Lol I sent one, and asking for a status on my application at the same time...but i'm kinda regretting it on the 2nd thought...might have appeared TOOO desperate..lol

I've sent two and I'm still stuck on 11/20... I don't think they really care.

after acceptance. have to submit need access before you're considered for merit scholarships

I sent a LOCI also. Is there any type of confirmation of receipt of materials? I haven't heard anything and my status checker hasn't changed.

They repley with an email. The doesn't checker doesn't change though.

Yes, I'm hoping for This FRIDAY at the latest (*NYU, please note, this Friday, at the LATEST< please~~)

If I don't hear anything by this Friday, I guess I'll need to stop hoping and start attempting scholarship negotiation with my next top school, using whatever else i have on the table, though I guess i can't hope for much..
I wish I could wait out this drag for a little longer, but my school's 1st deposit deadline is coming up fast in almost 2 weeks...
